Mahopac Competition- 10-14-00


 2:15 - Stretching, Block basics, and music warmup (Please aim for 2:00
        so you aren't late)
 2:30 - Show rehersal begins
 4:30 - Load designated intruments onto equipment truck; Dinner; change
        into uniform (you may not leave during this break)
 5:15 - Uniform inspection and load buses
 5:30 - Depart for Mahopac HS
 6:15 - Arrive at mahopac; unload and form in sections
 8:00 - Perform
 8:15 - Watch Arlington HS perform from sideline. You must be in uniform
        (minus hat) until after the competition.
 8:30 - Awards; Afterwards you may return to the buses and change back 
        to street clothes while staff is at the critique. Make sure
        your uniform is properly hung up! 
10:15 - Anticipated arrival back at NHS



Directions to Mahopac HS:

West on Route 84 to NY exit 18 (Rte. 311 - Lake Carmel)
Take Rte. 311 to Rte. 52. Turn left (South) onto Rte. 52
Rte. 52 turns into Rte. 6; Continue on Rte 6 until you reach Rte. 6N
Turn right (West) on Rte. 6N and travel to Baldwin Place Rd.
Turn Left onto Baldwin Place Rd.; spectator parking is at the Middle school

Alternate "Scenic route"

Take Rte. 6 out of Danbury and follow into NY State
Continue on Rte. 6 until you reach Rte. 6N (Near Lake Mahopac)
Turn onto 6N and take to Baldwin Place Rd.
Turn Left onto Baldwin Place Rd.; Spectator Parking is at the Middle school


Parents:

The competition begins at 6:30pm and consists of 8 competing bands.
Please plan to arrive early to get a good seat. Scoring for this competition
will be a little different than EMBA or BOA. Classifications will run 
differently as well. We will be competing in NATIONAL class against
Arlington HS.
