Welcome to the FRS page.
FRS is a newer type of Radio Service. It stands for Family Radio
Service. I use it just to entertain myself & to talk to my friends
who also have a pair.
FRS Radio's are run off of UHF FM.
There are 14 channels to choose from, and some models
have 38 CTCSS tones or "Quiet Codes" so you
can have a more private conversation.
FRS radios are license free, & anybody can
get them. All you have to
do is go to your local retailer, get the radios that you like,
get the batteries, then if your satisfied, there is a world
of extra accessories to play arround with.
