ANYWAY.... The main character of the game is Rion Steiner, A boy who can use psychic powers through injecting various PPECs (Psychic Power Enhancement Chemicals)
I suspect Rion's age is 14, but other sites have stated that he's 16. Someone give me a clue here!
Something that really amuses me is the fact that, the entirerity of the game is spent killing people you don't know, by either burning them to a crisp with the Red chemical, or by bursting their heads open with the Nalcon chemical, and when you kill the second boss, Birdman, Rion starts on about killing this guy he just met. I mean, forget Birdman! If Rion was so bothered 'bout killing people, he should have questioned it after killing the scientist guy in the first room after you start the game!
As oppose to roasting people and participating in a spot of head popping, Rion can also short circuit. This happens when Rion tries to use psychic powers whilst his AP (Anger points) meter is full. This meter fills gradually throughout the game (faster when Rion gets hurt).
When shorting, Rion's powers go completely outta control and will kill most enemies instantly ('cept for the Galerians) including the first boss, Professor Lem. However, this puts a big strain on Rion's body and his HP (Health points, Not HP sauce!) gradually decreases. This can be rectified by taking a Delmetor capsule.
When facing professor Lem, run away from him until Rion's AP meter starts to flash. Turn to face Lem and wait for him to come to you. When he's close, press the R1 button to make Rion short. Lem should collapse instantly. He should get up and try again. But Rion's unbridled power should knock him down again, after which he should be dead. Do not take a Delmetor capsule. Instead, quickly stagger over to Lem's body and press x This will take you to a film sequence which shows Rion escaping from Michalangelo Hospital. By doing this, you don't waste chemicals or need to take a Delmetor capsule and complete stage A with no trouble at all!
(I found this by accident when I faced Lem with a flashing AP meter and no Delmetor!)
