Manic the hedgehog is Sonic's brother (from Sonic Underground) When the royal triplets were left on three separate doorsteps, Manic was found and adopted by a passing thief guy and so Manic lived as a thief (Kinda like Zidane actually, only Manic actually knows who his family is). Manic, so far, appears to be the only one of the three who doesn't have his own powers. I mean, Sonic has his speed and Sonya has her whirlwind thingy. Stop me if I'm wrong but I'd say the poor guy's kinda at a disadvantage ain't he?
This all leads to a question in 'my thoughts': Why doesn't Manic quit freedom fighting for a while and join Tantalus? He could use his drumset to play music for the plays and Zidane could teach him how to go into Trance. Then he could rejoin the Resistance and beat the crap outta Robotnik! Hahahaha!
