Band Bios
The band originated back in the day, around two years ago, when Derek and Chad decided to start a rock band. After about a year and a half of practicing by themselves a local boy was invited to audition for vocals. The lucky local guy (Joe) has been in the band since. With this line-up Shelby Wilcox (Chad's sister) played drums for the trio to get them out of a bind. Soon after at a party another local boy (Danny) was interested in drumming, he made it to the audition and has been playing with the band since. At this stage in the game the quartet was strictly a cover band, playing only cover songs. One night after a grueling practice session, the guys were sick of playing other people's songs, so they decided to write their own. After only 20 minutes (aprox.) She Broke My Heart was composed and ready for the studio. In the two months that followed 15 original songs were composed, and were sent to the studio. The first demo CD entitled Night Train was finished after only two grueling studio sessions. Still without a bass player, Night Train started looking around. One day Derek had caught word of a bass player living on campus at NMTC (Northern Maine Technical College), and it just so happened, they were in the same classes. The first time the FULL band actually practiced together including the long awaited bass player, there was magic in the air. Melodic rhythms were strumming from every instrument in sync with each other. It fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. After just a couple of practice sessions everyone was on the same page and they headed out for a big talent show at the local mall. It was the first live performance that included the full line-up. The show went fantastic and they were asked to the next talent show in a few weeks from then to compete in the finals. That show went ok but they didn't place. They left the show getting a lot of positive feedback from the crowd, which is always a plus. They proceeded to play at several local talent shows and not place, and every talent show they played at, most of the audience attending the shows those nights always gave them a lot of positive feedback. "Hey it's all about the fans, that's why were here, to play music, and make music for other people" - Shawn Saucier That is where they are up to now, and they already have plans to play more gigs and get back into the studio to finish recording their songs. Look for updates on the updates page. So until then we'll see you on the road.
