June 5, 2001 (day one)
I welcome you to the site of the future Magic: The Gathering trading card game site Magic of the cards. For now there will not be much here but, some time soon if all goes well, there will be an impressive web site. As I am only currently recruiting some of my Magic playing friends for the creation and development, there is no official estimate on the time of completion. Before any thing is put up I have to look in to all the copyright laws to find out what I can and can't use on this site, something NAPSTER did not do, there is definitely no need to repeat history.

Update: June 7, 2001
I have successfully recruited Eric to the web team and finally made some progress toward our goal. With all of the legal information posted, I can start to put up some of the Magic: the gathering related pages.

Update: June 8, 2001
Eric and I have put alot of cards in the cool cards section and hope that you (the viewer) will send in a list of cards you want to see on the page. We are also collecting links to go on the links page and combos for our combo page.

Update: July 7, 2001
Well I have been away and have also not been posting updates after I work on the page so it looks like its back to the keyboard for me. One day, I really don't know when, but I wanted to look into the story line of Magic, so I went out to my local book store and picked up some books. They have me on there bated hook and are pulling me in to get more, as I have already read fore.(Invasion, Planeshift, The Myths of Magic, and The Colors of Magic) Now I have stopped reading the Invasion Cycle at Planeshift to read from the first book, The Brothers' War, as to keep the suspense of Apocalypse going. If you have not read any of the books, then I highly suggest you try one.

Update: July 8, 2001
Well have I had along day, but that is besides the point. I have added 3 links and for all your right clickers sorry just try it. My legal disclaimer has also been updated and the disclaimer at the the bottom of the page has been changed too to say that all this text and other things are mine and that you can't have it without asking so(:-p like I said it's mine and it's going to stay that way. Just joking about the (:-p part. I have also sent out afew E-mails to other web sites about them linking to me if I link to them so I might yet have more sites to add to the link page.

Update: July 9, 2001
I have not done much today, but have done some fixing work and let you know what is going on with the story page, so you might want to check it out.

Update: July 10, 2001
Today I added all of the quotes that I have found in Planeshift but, I am still unable to get more than one glow text on the page so it's not the way I would like it to look but, it will have to do for now. Quotes for Invasion will be added as soon as the book is returned to me.

Update: July 11, 2001
Announcing the arrival of THE BURN IT PILE. I think that we are going to a fun with this one. It's only in the first step of construction so no content is on it yet just the announcement of what will be on it, but still you should check it out. A big thanks to the person who sent in some combos under the name SERRA ANGEL COLLECTOR, thanks it helped alot.

Update: July 12, 2001
With all of the support from the kind people on the Magic Community message boards, I have been able to put up lots of new combos. That's not all I will be adding a deck list and more burn it cards all due to the support of other magic players. I also would like to thank all of you who have sent in E-mail and signed our guestbook and special thanks to all the people who have posted combos, decks, and burn it cards at the boards. We may have a new person on our web team, the last word will come from Eric because we have agree on all the stuff we put up. I have now added the Deck List page and will continue to update all day as I always do.

Update: July 13, 2001
Today I have moved the updates to there own page called site news. I am also trying to find a chat java script so we can put up a chat page. We are putting together a deck building page so look for that soon.

Update: July 19, 2001
Today I have finally done something without Johnathan's help! I have completed the deck building and all that has to be done is making a link! YAY!

Update: July 23, 2001
We have put up the same picture links but with the name of the page it links to on it. We have also done some work on the colors page but it is not ready yet so we have not put a link to it, but look for it soon, also I have fixed some of the spelling on the page as Eric doses not read his work so I have to fix it.
Update: August 6, 2001
I added a to symbolize a choice site on the links page. The sites that I chose were Palace of Urza, Black Borders, Wizards community board and chat, and Deacklopedia. If one of the sites listed is yours good work, if not then keep working and you might see it next time.
Update: August 9, 2001
We have finally put up the Colors of magic section so check it out. Micah has joined us, we knew he would eventually be working with us but it did take some for it to happen.
Update: August 13, 2001
I have rearranged the story page.It just got to be too much work to get to the end of the page, so now each book will have its own page. It seems that the combo page needs some sort of tidying up aswell but I havent figured out a logicl order to list them. and I am working on puting up a special thanks page for all of you out there that send us lots of stuff not just one or two things will get your name on it, you have to contribut to the whole page.
Update: September 22, 2001
Eric and I went to the Odyssey Prerelease and we both made it to the final round, our points are as fallowing: I had 9 points and Eric had 12 points. Odyssey is one of the best sets I think they have come up with yet it has lots of new ways to play (ex) protection from all (basic) colors, protecton form enchantments, protection from creatures, flashback, threshold, and so much more! I give this set a 5 star review.
This was posted on the front page

I have added a Reviews page (with nothing on it right now) and it consists of book reviews and set reviews. Also I have put up a Rules page with Odyssey on it and I will put more on it as time goes on. I am thinking about seting up a local events page and major events and dates so look for that some time in the near future.
Update: October 19, 2001
I have to look for a new or additonal place to get free web space because I have just about used my free space on Geocities and need more for further deveopment of this site will keep you informed of new developments on this subject.
Update: December 16, 2001
I have made it so that the links in the links page will open in a new window. I have always planed on doing that but never knew the code to do it. I have also added page transitions, they are set to random, the only one that is not random is the one on the link page.
Update: February 24, 2002
Well I have two anouncements to make here. One it that today is my 16th B-day and the other is that I have put an egg in to this page the way to find it is to type in a word and then if you got it right you will sent to a new page. I don't have the page set up all the way yet but when I do the word will be the name of a magic card. As of right now the word is not magic related so don't wast your time. When it is completed who ever is the first to figure it out will be sent a magic card I dont know what one it will be but thats not till I am done with the page.
Update: February 14, 2003
