Secretary of State Department of Motor Vehicles

I called the Illinois Secretary of State's Department of Motor Vehicles in Springfield and reported the theft of my vehicle by the children's mother. I explained how the woman had broken into my home, stole the title to my vehicle, forged my name on the title transferring sole ownership of the vehicle to her, sent the form into their office which sent her a "corrected" title in her name alone, used the title as collateral for a $10,000 loan from a local bank on which she intentionally defaulted, resulting in the repossession of the vehicle I had paid cash for years before.

When the woman suggested I inform the local police about the theft, I explained that after providing the local assistant State's attorney with proof of my allegations, I had gone at his advice to the Sterling Police Department, but inexplicably, they were refusing to pursue the matter. I told her that I was seeking their help in the matter. However, even after reminding her that the crime involved forgery of one of their department's official State documents, I was told flat out that the Secretary of State's Department of Motor Vehicles wanted no part in the matter whatsoever.
