Words are literally nothing more than familiar grunts which are used to convey the thought as best as possible. After time however our ability to think becomes restricted by word usage. We can no longer think "I am hungry" without using the words silently in our mind. Where once our thoughts were pure and uncontained, they are now chopped up and at times difficult to express, sometimes even to ourselves! What is this wordless language that a newborn thinks in? What is the language that a deaf person thinks in? Consider this, if we were able to understand wordless thinking and compared ones wordless language to another's and found a match, then we would have found a common thread of the consciousness. Wordless thinking is the language of the consciousness and if two separate beings thought the same language of the consciousness then there has to be a common source where the consciousness resides beyond the body. There would then have to be a spirit world beyond physical matter because it is our physical world which offers the forum of words and this would not provide common conscious thinking.
Plato believed that mathematics was the purest of reasoning. Mathematics however is dependant on the physical world being real beyond the molecules and atoms but this is not the case. Without molecules and atoms there is nothing to add or count. The consciousness is the only thing with the ability to exist beyond the physical world because thoughts are not made up of molecules. Even the depth and dimensions of your apparent reality can be questioned of legitimacy but as Descartes pointed out, the thought itself cannot be questioned of its existence.
The truth is that a deaf person can think even though that person has never heard a word. How do you think wordlessly?
People like SETI send pictorial messages into space hoping for a reply. If they could better understand wordless thought and how to communicate it, they could test in on our own life here on Earth. If you cannot communicate with your own life on Earth, how do you expect to communicate with life outside of Earth? Find out how to communicate wordlessly and then find a common element with all life around us.
