Why time passes more quickly as you age.
Regardless of how old you are, you see your own existence as an eternity. Eternity is not something that can grow or shrink with age. It's vastness is as it has been since birth and will be the same at death. The passage of time is not a true reality, as only the present is absolute. The passage of time is a domain for memory as the body and consciousness are confineded to the absolute present.
The perceived passage of time is how many divisions are present within eternity. If you are five years old, then you have five divisions of your eternity and thus the summers appear longer and life's trials appear to linger on endlessly. Entire languages can be learnt at a speed that to the older seem remarkably quick.
When you reach forty you will have forty divisions of your eternity and when summer starts you know winter will be at hand shortly. Every passing year comes at a quicker rate, not due to the passing of time itself but in the sharing of the whole of eternity.
Eternity itself is a constant size regardless of time experienced. The bond between infant and mother is establish due to the eternity spent together when the infants eternity is relatively undivided. An unmeasurable bond is created towards it's mother as it's eternity as a newborn is as vast as an eighty year olds eternity.
