The Morning I Became Ill

 

::Early morning in Niebelheim. The first rays of light touch the ground. everything is still silent in the small cabin in the mountains, except maybe......::

Hakuryu> ::flying next to Goku, making light noises right into his ear:: weeeyyee

Goku> ::is sleeping next to his bed, snoring loudly::

Goku> ::waves his hands:: Agnnn..... not now.....I`m not hungry yet.....

Gojyo> ::In sleep:: shuddefukup.....::he turns in sleep::

Hakuryu> weeyee...::softly poking Goku's face to wake him up::

Sanzo> ::opens one eye to see where the disturbing noises come from::

Goku> Whaaa......? ::opens his eyes:: Oh, you.... ::stretches:: What is it, Hakuryu?

Hakuryu> ::flying around Goku and looks to the window:: yee yee

Goku> ::stands up slowly:: Don`t you think it`s a little too early for playing outside? ::follows his eyes to the window:: What?

Hakuryu> ::slips underneath Goku's blanket and lays down to sleep again::

Goku> HEY!!!! ::jumps on his bed:: What are you doing? Oh, you bad bad dragon. That`s my bed, get outta it, NOW! ::tries to grab him::

Hakkai> ::watches the scene through half-closed eyes and smiles::

Hakuryu> ::looks at Goku with big innocent eyes:: weeehheeee

Sanzo> ::grabs his cigarettes, lightens one and watches them, smoking silently::

Gojyo> ::still fighting not to wake up:: shuddup, bakazaru......

Goku> ::stops:: But that`s MY bed, Hakuryu. You can`t just wake me up only to get my bed. Why don`t you go and sleep with Hakkai? Why must it be MY bed?

Hakkai> ::In a soft and calm voice:: Your bed seems to be a warmer place, Goku....

Goku> ::looks at Hakkai:: But it`s not fair. Hakkai, tell him to get outta it. ::looks at him with pleeding eyes, shivering from the cold morning::

Hakkai> Goku, he is so small....you both fit into the bed.....

Sanzo> ::thinking to himself:: **Why should any of those animals sleep in a bed? They could as well spend the nights outside, would be more relaxing for me**

Goku> ::points at the dragon:: But he`s lying right in the middle!

Gojyo> SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!! ::grabs his pillow and puts it over his head::

Goku> ::to Gojyo:: YOU shut up. You`re not the one who was bed-robbed.

Hakkai> Yare yare desu ne....::he smiles:: Goku, go into the bed and place him out of your way....

Goku> Okay. ::he tries to grab Hakuryu:: Come here.

Hakuryu> yeeeeeee ::leans to Goku::

Sanzo> ::still watching them, he gives Hakkai a short, annoyed look:: Stupid animals.

Hakkai> How bad of you to say that, Sanzo. They are our friends, not animals....

Goku> ::he crawls under the blanket and puts Hakuryu on his belly:: You see, now we both are warm. ::pets the dragon::

Sanzo> Phew....

Hakuryu> ::rest his head on Goku's chest:: wee wee

Goku> ::suddenly looks at Hakkai:: Hakkai.... hara hetta.....

Gojyo> ::jumps out of the bed, forgetting about sleeping naked:: Monkeys, Dragons, Assholes.....how is a fine man like me supposed to get his sleep with them?? ::he looks out of the window, annoyed::

Hakkai> ::smiles:: Goku....I thought you wanted some more sleep?

Goku> ::looks from Gojyo to Hakkai:: I can`t sleep anymore.... but now I`m also not hungry anymore..... ::turns away from them, pressing the dragon against his chest::

Hakkai> ::gets out of his bed:: I'll make some breakfast. At least, we all are up now. ::he puts on his trousers and leaves the bedroom, now dressed in his pants, his sleeping shirt and no shoes. Down in the kitchen he starts to prepare breakfast, singing lightly to himself:: Is it a kind of dream....

Hakuryu> ::looks from under the blanket to Sanzo:: yeeweeyuui

Sanzo> ::looks at the dragon: You better stay there and don`t even think about coming over here. ::to Gojyo:: Please dress yourself, you idiot.

Gojyo> WHAT? ::looks down on himself and grabs his blanket in shock:: Did you stare at me, you pervert???

Hakkai> ::making fire in the oven to start cooking:: ...Floating out on the tide....

Goku> ::without turning:: Who would stare at a naked kappa?

Sanzo> ::gives him a bored look:: In your dreams.

Gojyo> Shut up, Bakazaru!!

Hakuryu> ::still looking at Sanzo:: weeyuii

Goku> YOU shut up. Ah, hara hetta.... ::grabs Hakuryu and crawls out of the bed::

Sanzo> ::looks at the dragon:: What?

Hakuryu> ::tries to fly out of Goku's arms:: wee wee wee yuuu yyeee

Goku> ::lets Hakuryu fly:: I`m so hungry.... ::leaves the room and walks down to the kitchen::

Hakkai> ::taking a pan and some eggs out of a closet::....Following the river of death downstream?.....Oh, is it a dream?.....

Goku> ::enters the kitchen, looking at Hakkai:: Huuuuuuuh? What are you talking?

Hakuryu> ::flies up and down in front of Sanzo, the only one still in bed, wanting a warm place for himself:: yyeee yeee yeeeeeeeeeehhhh

Hakkai> ::turns to Goku:: Oh, excuse me, I was singing this old song to myself.......::smiles::

Sanzo> ::gives him a cold look:: Don`t even think about it. I have no intention to share my bed with stupid animals.

Gojyo> ::now with the blanket around himself, he lights a cig and stares out of the window::

Hakuryu> ::holds his head lightly bowed to the side and looks at Sanzo:: wee wee....::shivering a moment from the cold::

Goku> ::nods:: Okay. What about breakfast. ::looks at the pan:: Hey, didn`t you start?

Sanzo> NO! ::looks at Gojyo:: Hey, go down and see if the coffee is ready. It`s fuckin cold here.

Hakkai> I first had to make the fire work. it seems like the wood got a lil wet. Gomen nasai, Goku....::he takes something out of the closet. It is a steak from yesterday's dinner:: Here, take that until I'm done....

Goku> ::takes it with shiny eyes:: Thank you, Hakkai. ::he starts eating:: Shall I get new wood?

Gojyo> Ah....go yourself, baka.....and warm up the poor dragon....or Hakkai may lose his cool and and piss you off really.....::continues smoking::

Sanzo> Ts, is here nobody good for anything? Then come over here, you annoying animal ::lifts his blanket a bit and looks at Hakuryu:: But only this one time.

Hakkai> I fear, at this time of day and this time of year all wood will be wet.....::He opens some eggs and pours them into the pan. Then he starts to heat up water for coffee::

Hakuryu> ::slips under the blanket and leans close to Sanzo:: yeeehh weee

Goku> ::finishes with his steak:: Yea, and it`s damn cold, also inside here. ::he sits down on the table and watches Hakkai::

Sanzo> phew, always those stupid animals.... ::he lights up another cigarette and watches Gojyo:: Anything interesting out there?

Hakkai> You could try to light the fireplaces in the cabin to warm it up....::Starts cutting some bacon into pieces::

Gojyo> The birds are moving away......

Goku> ::nods:: Okay, give me a lighter

Hakkai> At each fireplace there is one, Goku.....

Sanzo> ::frowns:: And?

Hakuryu> ::softly licks Sanzo's upper leg, as a sign of love::

Gojyo> That means winter's coming......

Goku> Okay then. ::he leaves the kitchen and walks over the big fireplace in the other room:: Man, that`s so cold. ::he tries to light the old wood::

Sanzo> ::makes a disgusted face because of Hakuryu licking him and puts his hand between leg and dragon tongue:: So what? You`re afraid we will die this winter in this ass cold godforsaken cabin?

Goku> ::trying very hard:: Hakkai, I don`t get a flame. That stupid wood is too cold......

Hakkai> ::out of the kitchen:: Goku, if you can't light it, take some paper...there must be Sanzo's old newspapers anywhere....::He takes the boiling water and makes coffee. Then he puts the bacon into the pan and takes out some bread and butter::

Goku> ::trying very hard:: Hakkai, I don`t get a flame. That stupid wood is too cold......

Gojyo> Not at all.....but I think if it gets as cold as the last one, we could snow in and starve to death, with that bakazaru around here......

Hakuryu> ::licks the hand now:: wee wee weeeeeh

Goku> Okay ::he starts to light the paper, then put it on the wood::

Hakkai> Put the paper underneath the wood....it will dry it a bit and maybe light it....::puts dishes onto the table::

Sanzo> Then we should wait for the first bit of snow and keep the ape outside. Then he can eat trees. ::moves his hand away::

Hakuryu> ::takes this as a sign to lick the leg again::

Goku> Hakkai, it works. ::he feeds the flame with a bit more paper and waits till the wood burns. Then he comes back into the kitchen, following his nose to the pan:: Hmmmm...... bacon......

Gojyo> You are an asshole, monk......monk, monkey...that fits....

Hakkai> This is not yet ready, Goku....please, try to light the fireplace in the bathroom, too.....::puts knives, forkes, and spoons onto the table::

Sanzo> ::tired of fighting Hakuryu, he puts a small pillow between his leg and the dragon, then takes out his gun and aims at Gojyo:: Be careful what you say, Youkai.

Gojyo> I'm impressed.....you would never shoot me......

Goku> ::slowly moves away from the pan and sighs:: Okay, but then I`m hungry. 

Sanzo> ::still aiming at him:: How can you be so sure about that?

Hakuryu> ::looks at the pillow without understanding it. Then he starts licking Sanzo's lower leg:: yee weeeehhh

Gojyo> Hakkai told me......::sly grin::

Sanzo> ::he sighs, being licked again. He puts the gun under his pillow and stands up, leaving the blanket over Hakuryu. Only dressed in his sleeping shorts, he walks over to Gojyo and throws his cigarette out of the window:: I need coffee.....

Goku> ::he lights the fireplace in the bathroom and starts brushing his teeth before one of the olders can tell him to do::

Gojyo> ::looks at Sanzo confused, for Sanzo suddenly is so close to him:: I don't have coffee.....

Sanzo> Right, you`re useless, too. ::he turns and grabs his clothes::

Hakkai> ::puts cups on the table and smiles:: Everything ready......HAKURYU! SANZO! GOJYO! BREAKFAST!

Hakuryu> ::flies out of the bed and down into the kitchen, faster than anyone else::

Goku> ::comes into the kitchen:: HEY! And what about me?

Sanzo> ::looks after the dragon::

Gojyo> ::tries to grab his clothes and the blanket falls down, so he is naked again....:: kuso.....

Hakkai> I don't have to call for you, Goku, you came checking in every two minutes....::he takes the pan from the oven::

Sanzo> ::shakes his head:: Baka...... ::he dresses himself and walks out of the room:: You better hurry, the ape is already there. ::he walks downstairs, into the kitchen::

Gojyo> ::dresses quickly and walks downstairs::

Goku> But I`m so hungry, Hakkai...... ::looks at him with big eyes::

Hakkai> Sit down Goku.....::puts down the pan on the table::

Hakuryu> ::is sitting on Sanzo's chair::

Goku> Aaahhh...... ::grabs for the bacon::

Hakkai> Not with your fingers, Goku.....

Sanzo> ::looks at the dragon:: This is where I am sitting.

Hakkai> But he was first, Sanzo. Take another chair, please....::smiles at Sanzo::

Goku> Okay. ::puts his fingers under the table and waits impatiently for Hakkai to put something onto his dish::

Hakkai> ::puts some bread and eggs with bacon on Goku's plate:: Here....

Gojyo> ::enters and sits down on a chair:: woah....what a morning......

Sanzo> ::mumbling some curses, he sits down on the place next to his original, giving Hakuryu an annoyed look::

Goku> ::happily smiles at Hakkai:: Thank you! ::then he starts to eat::

Hakkai> ::looking around, seeing all chair are full now, he puts some eggs onto Sanzo's plate and fills Sanzo's cup with coffee:: I'm afraid we have no milk left.....

Gojyo> ::takes some bread and starts to butter it::

Sanzo> ::takes the coffee:: Does that mean we have to go to the village again? ::looks at Hakkai and nods, saying thank you the Sanzo way::

Hakkai> ::smiles at Sanzo:: I am sorry, but I guess that is what it means......

Gojyo> I'll not go......I went there yesterday, for cigs and a fucking newspaper.......::starts eating::

Goku> ::looks at Hakkai:: No milk? Hmmm...... ::looks around, searching for something to drink::

Hakkai> ::puts some eggs onto the plate in front of Hakuryu:: here, for you....

Hakuryu> yeeehhhhh yuiii...::starts eating carefully::

Sanzo> ::watching Hakkai feeding the dragon:: Ts.... You can go, Hakkai. Take the Saru with you. And buy some cigarettes for me.

Hakkai> I still have a can of coke, Goku, if you like it......::he puts some eggs on his own plate and starts eating while standing::

Gojyo> Yeah...cigs for me, too......

Goku> Nah, not for breakfast. I`ll have some water later. ::looks at Hakkai:: Can I have one more egg? And maybe another bread? And a bit more bacon?

 Sanzo> ::frowns at Gojyo:: Didn`t you say you bought some yesterday?

Hakkai> Sure.....::puts down his plate and gives Goku more breakfast::

Gojyo> Yeah.....but you smoked them....and I did, too....::he grins::

Sanzo> ::watches Hakkai, then gives his own plate to him:: I`m fine with coffee, eat that yourself.

Goku> ::eating all of Hakkai`s breakfast::

Hakkai> Sanzo, you really should eat it....You need food when it is getting cold outside ::smiles softly::

Sanzo> Phew, I don`t like anything for breakfast except coffee. Now take it. ::gives him an angry look, then leans back and lights up a new cig:: We could also need some more wood, if they sell it down there. ::takes out his credit card and puts it on the table:: And some more food.

Goku> Oh yes, MUCH more food. ::puts down his empty plate, after licking over it::

Hakkai> ::takes Sanzo's plate and starts eating:: They don't sell wood, I already checked it....But I will see what I can do....

Sanzo> ::looks at Gojyo, offering a cig to him:: Are you completely out of smokes?

Gojyo> ::takes one of Sanzo's cigs and lights it:: Yeah.....You'll be alright....

Hakuryu> ::licks his plate and then he licks Sanzo's hand::

Goku> ::stands up and cleans his and Hakkai`s plate in the sink:: Is it very cold outside? ::looking down on himself, only wearing his pyjama.:

Hakkai> I guess it is.....Fall is cold, too, here in the mountains.....

Sanzo> ::pets the dragon for a moment, then takes away his hand:: You better dress in warm clothes. I don`t need a sick ape here.

Gojyo> He, Bakazaru.....clean my dish, too... ::pushes it over the table to Goku::

Goku> Clean it by yourself, stupid kappa, I`m not your butler. ::pushes the dish back to Gojyo::

Hakkai> ::takes the dish before it falls down and shatters and starts to clean it, as well as Hakuryu's::

Sanzo> ::fills some more coffee into his cup:: I`ll take a shower next. Whoever enters the damn bathroom will be shot.

Gojyo> Sure...you shower with that stupid gun......

Sanzo> ::gives him a cold glare:: Do you want to find out?

Hakkai> ::turns on the radio. "Bridge over troubled water" by Simon and Garfunkel is playing:: Oh, I like that song....

Goku> I`ll get my clothes, Hakkai, then we can go if you want.

Sanzo> Phew.

Gojyo> I bet You like that, Hakkai.......it is so like you.......::his voice sounds not too kind::

Hakkai> ::ignores Gojyo's words and grabs his pullover to put it on::

Goku> ::runs upstairs and quickly dresses with jeans, a red pullover and a black scarf. Taking his boots with him, he comes back to the kitchen and sits down again, putting on his shoes::

Hakkai> ::puts on his shoes as well, listening to the song on the radio::

Goku> I`m ready. Do we take Hakuryu or shall we walk? ::looks at Hakkai::

Hakkai> We need our friend to help us....::looks at Hakuryu:: Will you help us, Hakuryu?

Hakuryu> ::flies up:: Weeyee

Sanzo> ::not very loud, so that they really have to catch the right moment to even hear it:: Be careful.......

Hakkai> ::smiles softly at Sanzo, for his ears are very sharp::

Goku> ::puts Hakuryu on his head:: Then let`s go, Hakkai.

Sanzo> ::gives the credit card to Hakkai:: Or do you think you`ll need cash?

Hakkai> No, they accept the card....::Takes it and smiles. When he takes the card Hakkai's fingers touch Sanzo's for a short moment. His hands are like ice::

Sanzo> ::looks up at him:: Where`s your coat? I also don`t want YOU to be sick, those idiots are too stupid to make a good coffee.

Hakkai> Don't worry, I'm alright......::he takes his coat and puts it on:: So, now let's go.....

Goku> ::still with Hakuryu on his head:: Fine.

Gojyo> ::he stands up and leaves the kitchen, goes into the bathroom and undresses. Then he makes the water run and steps into the shower, To himself:: We'll see who's first, stupid monk. What a luck that ape heated up the water already......

Hakkai> ::opens the door and walks outside, waiting for Goku and Hakuryu::

Goku> ::follows Hakkai, closing the door behind him::

Hakuryu> ::flies up into the air in front of them::

Hakkai> Hakuryu, please change.....

Sanzo> ::without a sound, he steps next to Gojyo and puts his gun on the others head:: Are you trying to fuck with me, you stupid asshole?

Hakuryu> ::changes into the jeep::

Gojyo> ::Freezes in the middle of his motion:: If I would you'd notice.......

Goku> ::he jumps into the jeep and leans back, waiting for Hakkai::

Hakkai> ::gets into the jeep and starts to drive:: So, we will be back here soon....it will not take too long...::a few drops of sweat form on his forehead but he whipes them away before Goku can notice::

Sanzo> I give you ten fucking seconds. ::pulls on the trigger:: One....

Gojyo> Like I said before, you'd not shoot me.......::but his voice trembles::

Sanzo> ::without any emotion on his face:: Two......

Hakkai> ::driving into the village he stops the car right in front of the store. He gets out and smiles at Goku:: It will not take long. Could you stay here and protect Hakuryu?

Gojyo> You will not do it......::still his voice sounds not fully sure::

Goku> Sure, I`ll do ::pets the car:: But bring some candies, will you?

Sanzo> ::his violet eyes are stone cold:: Three....

Hakkai> I will....::he smiles at Goku and enters the store::

Goku> ::he leans back and takes a look around, watching the other people in the village::

Gojyo> You can't just shoot me. ::he still is not moving a single bit::

Sanzo> Who says I can`t? Four......

Gojyo> Hakkai and Goku would not forgive you.........

Sanzo> ::a bit of an evil smile comes to his face:: And what if they will never find out? Five.... half your time is over.....

Hakkai> ::it takes him some time but then he comes out of the store again, with many bags and boxes::

Goku> ::jumps out of the car:: Wait, I`ll help you. ::takes some of the stuff and carries it over to the jeep::

Gojyo> They will....you can't bury me deep enough for the ape not to smell my flesh........::this time Sanzo can definately hear his voice tremble::

Sanzo> Six.... ::he pulls the trigger a bit more, then his face comes closer to Gojyo`s:: <w> If you are all so sure about that, why can`t I hear that in your voice?

Hakkai> Arigato, Goku....::he puts the rest of it into the jepp:: Let me think....I have food, cigs for Gojyo and Sanzo, Newspaper, milk, some gas for the fireplaces, candy....did I forget anything?

Gojyo> What do you mean? ::trying to sound very calm and sure, but it just doesn't work::

Goku> ::thinking hard for a moment:: I guess that`s all.

Hakkai> Alright, then let's go back.....::he gets back into the jeep:: And Goku....don't try to get something out of it right now, okay? We all need the food.....

Sanzo> Seven.... ::raising his voice:: Stop acting, baka. You can talk as long as you want, that will neither stop me from shooting you nor help you believe that I won`t do it.

Gojyo> Get the fuck lost, stupid monk!

Goku> ::plops into his seat:: Okay Hakkai ::sighs:: But I`m already hungry again.....

Sanzo> ::his eyes become small, he puts the gun harder against the others head:: Eight......

Hakkai> Goku, I told you before. You really have to get used to not eating all the time......::he starts the car::

Gojyo> Fuck you......

Goku> But then I get sick. My stomach starts aching so bad.....

Sanzo> ::with a voice as cold as ice:: Nine...

Hakkai> ::drives out of the village:: Goku, this is all in your mind. If you stop thinking about eating all the time it will not hurt. Just try it, okay?

Goku> Do you think that? ::looks at him:: But about what shall I think then?

Gojyo> ::pushes Sanzo backwards and gets out of the shower:: Fine fine, baka.....I go.....::he grabs a towel::

Sanzo> ::watches him, still holding the gun, but no more aiming at Gojyo:: Fine, why not from the beginning?

Hakkai> Well.....maybe......::he again whipes the sweat from his forehead. He has some difficulties to concentrate:: I don't know, but I'm sure you'll find something......

Gojyo> Asshole........::starts to dry himself::

Goku> ::watching Hakkai:: Are you allright, Hakkai? ::worried about him, smelling something`s not right::

Sanzo> Phew. ::he turns to the shower, lays the gun down on the sink and starts to undress himself, not caring that Gojyo`s still there::

Hakkai> I'm alright Goku......see here we are again. ::He stops the car in front of the cabin:: Could you start bringing the stuff inside?

Gojyo> They are back.....::he looks out of the window, dressing himself::

Goku> ::nods:: Sure. Hey, why don`t you take one of the milk bottles and prepare a hot cocoa for us? ::grins at him::

Sanzo> ::strips completely and steps under the shower:: Fine. Then don`t steal my smokes again.

Hakkai> That is a good idea....::He takes one of the bottles and starts walking towards the cabin, very slowly::

Gojyo> ::he narrows his eyes seeing Hakkai move so slowly:: hmmm.....

Goku> ::taking the stuff out of the jeep, he follows Hakkai with his eyes:: He doesn`t look like he`s alright, don`t you think, Hakuryu?

Hakuryu> ::the jeep makes one of the noises:: wee yeeeeuuu

Sanzo> ::looks at Gojyo:: What?

Gojyo> Hakkai.....

Sanzo> Hakkai what?

Hakkai> ::walks inside and puts the milk on the table. His hands flat on the table he has to hold to it for a moment to support himself::

Goku> ::he first puts all the stuff from the jeep to the ground, so that Hakuryu can change back. Then he grabs some stuff and walks over to the cabin to bring it inside::

Gojyo> Something is not right......

Hakuryu> ::changes back and hurries inside for the wind is getting harder::

Sanzo> ::he turns off the water and steps out of the shower, grabbing his clothes:: I`ll take a look at him. Take a shower if you want to. ::starts dressing again::

Goku> ::enters the kitchen:: Hakkai? ::looks at him::

Hakkai> Oh...yes....cocoa....Just a moment......::he walks over to the closet and takes out a pot and places it on the oven::

Goku> ::he puts the stuff on the table and comes over to Hakkai, smiling at him:: Just sit down, I`ll do that. Relax a moment, okay?

Gojyo> I'll have a look at Hakkai myself........::leaves the bathroom::

Sanzo> ::follows Gojyo downstairs::

Hakkai> No...you just burn yourself, Goku......::he pours the milk into the pot to heat it up::

Goku> ::he sighs, then walks outside to get the rest of their stuff::

Gojyo> ::he walks outside to Goku to help him:: He bakazaru......what's up with Hakkai?

Goku> ::looks at Gojyo, really worried:: I don`t know. But I can smell that something is wrong. Hakuryu also does.

Gojyo> Hmmmm.....but what could it be? ::he picks up some boxes::

Sanzo> ::he enters the kitchen and steps behind Hakkai, laying a hand on his arm:: Sit down. 

Hakkai> ::he just had taken a cup into his hand:: No no....I'm okay.....I'm.....::he suddenly faints and the cup falls to the ground and shatters::

Goku> ::shrugs:: He will surely not tell us. You know how he is, always the others first. ::shakes his head::

Gojyo> Yeah....the bridge.....

Sanzo> ::he catches Hakkai before he can fall down:: Kuso...... Hakkai? Damn.... Gojyo, Goku, come here, hurry!

Gojyo> Damned....::he lets the boxes fall to the ground and runs inside::

Goku> Hakkai! ::he runs after Gojyo::

Hakkai> ::sweat is all over his face and he has a hot fever::

Sanzo> ::he lifts Hakkai up and carries him over to the living room:: Get the couch empty. And get some blankets.

Gojyo> ::with one motion he whipes the couch empty so everything on it falls to the floor:: What's with him?

Goku> ::he quickly runs upstairs and collects all the blankets from the beds::

Hakuryu> ::flies around, making frightened sounds:: feee feee feeeeeeeehh

Sanzo> ::he lays Hakkai down and puts a hand on his forehead:: He has a fever. Baka. ::he turns to Gojyo:: Get some cold water and a few towels. And tell the saru to hurry with the blankets. ::he knees down next to the couch, starting to undress Hakkai::

Gojyo> GOKU! Hurry up!!!! ::he runs into the bathroom, collects some towels and a bucket of water::

Goku> ::he comes back into the living room and puts the blankets on the ground:: Will he be okay, Sanzo?

Hakuryu> fee feeeeeeeehh

Sanzo> ::pulls down Hakkai`s trowsers and puts two of the blankets over him:: He will. Now calm the damn dragon down.

Hakuryu> feee feee fee feeeeeeehhhh

Goku> ::he takes Hakuryu into his arms and pets him:: Shhh...hush, Hakuryu. He will be okay, Sanzo said it.

Gojyo> ::comes back and kneels down next to Hakkai's head:: He looks bad......

Sanzo> Yes. ::he wettens some of the towels and wraps them around Hakkai`s legs:: Gojyo, put the other two blankets near the fireplace to warm up. We`ll have to change them when those here get wet and cold.

Goku> ::watching, he still holds Hakuryu, trying to calm the little dragon a bit::

Gojyo> ::he takes the blankets and puts the over a chair, then he shoves the chair in front of the fire::

Goku> Shouldn`t we call a doctor?

Hakuryu> ::not understanding what's wrong with Hakkai he still is very nervous:: fee feeeee

Gojyo> I don't know one here and we have no phone, bakazaru!

Sanzo> ::he suddenly grabs Hakuryu and puts him under the blanket, on Hakkai`s chest:: You keep him warm, promised? ::looks at the little dragon::

Hakuryu> ::looks at Sanzo and nods:: weee

Gojyo> Kuso....why didn't he say something?

Sanzo> Okay, I´m counting on you ::smiles at the dragon for a short moment, then turns to Gojyo:: As if he would. ::shakes his head:: That baka. I`ll prepare a hot soup, if he wakes up, he will need it. You two could try to bring the couch a bit closer to the fireplace. That damn room needs so long to get warm.

Gojyo> yeah...come on, Goku, help me....::he grabs one end of the couch::

Goku> ::he grabs the other end of the couch and lifts it carefully so that Hakkai can`t fall off:: Ready.

Sanzo> ::he enters the kitchen and starts to heat up water in a pot to cook a soup::

Gojyo> ::carefully he moves the couch towards the fire:: Why does he have to be like this? Why didn't he say something? We could have helped him....he always has to act so strong......::shakes his head:: Goku.....bring in the rest of what you bought......

Goku> Okay ::it`s hard for him to turn his eyes away from Hakkai, but then he goes out and carries some more bags into the kitchen::

Gojyo> ::kneels next to Hakkai's head and softly caresses his face:: You moron......

Sanzo> ::he comes back inside the living room and puts a hot pot of soup on the table. Then he offers a cup of coffee to Gojyo, his eyes fixing Hakkai::

Gojyo> ::takes the coffee:: Thank you......

Hakuryu> ::softly licking Hakkai's neck::

Goku> ::also comes back and sits down on the floor::

Sanzo> It`s enough soup, if you want some....

Hakkai> ::he slowly moves and wakes up again:: Huh?

Goku> ::with a happy smile:: Hakkai.

Gojyo> ::takes a deep breath:: puuhhhh

Sanzo> ::he gives Hakkai a short glance, then puts away the blankets and puts some new cold towels around Hakkai`s legs. He puts the blankets on the chair and some new over Hakkai::

Hakkai> Arigato, Sanzo....::He looks at his friends:: Gomen nasai......::He looks down::

Goku> Why didn`t you say anything?

Gojyo> You are such a fool Hakkai! 

Hakkai> I...I didn't want to bother you......

Sanzo> ::without a word, he fills some hot soup into a cup and gives it to Hakkai::

Hakkai> ::takes the cup and drinks some soup:: 

Goku> Hakkai, you`re always there when we need you. Give us a chance to repay that.

Gojyo> ::stands up and looks at the wood they still have:: Goku....we should go and bring more wood......we don't have much left......

Goku> ::jumps up:: Sure. We have to keep it warm inside here or Hakkai won`t get better, right?

Hakkai> I was not feeling that well since yesterday morning.....but I thought it would go by....::he coughes::

Gojyo> Right.....

Hakuryu> ::still licks Hakkai's neck gently::

Goku> ::with a worried look at Hakkai, he takes off his scarf and gives it to Hakkai:: Let`s go, Gojyo.

Sanzo> ::watches them silently::

Gojyo> Yeah....::he takes his coat and gets ready to leave::

Goku> ::turns in the door:: You will care for him, Sanzo?

Gojyo> ::waits outside for Goku::

Sanzo> ::nods::

Goku> Okay, then see you later. ::he follows Gojyo and closes the door behind himself::

Hakkai> ::drinks some more soup::

Gojyo> Man, fall is really cold here.......

Sanzo> ::he crosses his arms and looks at Hakkai::

Goku> ::looks at him:: You think? It`s still okay, wait for the winter. Do you remember last year?

Hakkai> ::avoids looking at Sanzo::

Gojyo> That was hell......deep frozen hell......::he walks towards the woods::

Sanzo> <w> Why do you always have to act so stupid?

Hakkai> <w> Gomen nasai......

Goku> But it was funny. I love playing in the snow with Hakuryu.

Sanzo> Don`t say sorry to me, say it to yourself. 

Gojyo> I know....I didn't like it that much. I could not go and get me some girl.......that was crap......

Goku> ::grins at him:: Girls don`t like kappas in the winter, eh?

Hakkai> I'll be alright by tomorrow.......::He sits up a bit::

Gojyo> Bakazaru!!!!

Sanzo> ::he stands up and walks over to him, gently pushing him down again:: You`ll be okay when the fever is gone. And until then you will lay down and do nothing.

Goku> ::puts his tongue out to him:: Ero Kappa!

Gojyo> ::runs towards Goku and jumps on him:: Shut it up!!!!

Hakuryu> ::Flies out under the blanket and over to the bathroom::

Goku> ::he falls down, then pushes Gojyo and rolls over, so that he is on top:: YOU shut up!

Hakkai> ::looks into Sanzo's violet eyes:: But......

Sanzo> ::looks after Hakuryu, then back at Hakkai:: But what?

Gojyo> ::pokes him into the side::

Hakkai> I...I have to....who shall care for you? ::he again tries to sit up::

Goku> Gnarghhh...... ::tries to get aways:: YAME!!!!

Sanzo> ::pushes him down again:: I said you stay. BAKA! Do you think we`re too dumb to care for ourselves?

Gojyo> NO!!!! ::keeps poking him::

Hakkai> No..no....I just.......::He looks worried at Sanzo::

Goku> ::grabs the first thing he gets - Gojyo`s arm - and bites into it::

Gojyo> OUCH!!!!! ::hits Goku against the head:: Why do you always have to bite????

Sanzo> ::he sighs and lays a cool hand on Hakkai`s forehead, suddenly his voice is calm and soft:: Just do what I say and relax. Everybody catches a cold from time to time. I`ll care for everything, don`t worry.

Hakkai> You really? ::He looks into the violet eyes that suddenly are so soft::

Goku> So why do you always have to poke me? 

Gojyo> I was just joking around.....but why did I ask...you are a monkey....monkeys bite....

Sanzo> ::he nods and refills Hakkai`s cup with soup:: At least I`m not too stupid to cook.

Goku> Kappa, you think you`re in any way better than me?

Gojyo> Sure! I am human. You're just some wicked kind of animal.......

Hakkai> No....you are not......I....thank you Sanzo, for taking care of me.....

Goku> I am NO animal. Kuso, you`re really starting to act like that stupid monk. ::he turns and walks over to the forest::

Sanzo> Ts, you are funny. Should I have let you fall down? By the way, where`s that annoying dragon of yours gone?

Gojyo> ::gets up and looks after Goku:: geez....I never thought he has such a thin skin....::follows him::

Hakkai> Bathroom I guess.......::He softly touches Sanzo's hand, now his fingers are a lot warmer::

Sanzo> ::looks at Hakkai`s hand, then at his face:: Do you need something?

Goku> ::he sees a few trees that are not so high and turns to Gojyo:: Shall we try here?

Hakkai> No....I'm....I'm fine......::his green eyes are locked softly to Sanzo's::

Gojyo> Yeah, looks good......get up and break some.......

Goku> Why me? You`re always so proud that you are taller than me, so you get it.

Gojyo> You're the monkey......

Sanzo> ::feeling a bit strange, he repeats the look irritated::

Goku> ::sighs:: Okay okay..... ::he starts to climb the tree::

Hakkai> It is good to know that you do care for us, Sanzo-Sama.....::he smiles softly::

Sanzo> ::looks away:: Phew. Don`t get the wrong idea. I just don`t want that kappa and the bakasaru to work on my nerves, that`s all. ::he grabs for his cigarettes, then puts them back on the table::

Gojyo> Don't fall off like a leaf......

Hakkai> ::coughes again:: You can smoke if you want to......

Goku> Yea yea, you be careful down there. ::he breaks some of the wood and throws it down::

Sanzo> Better not. That won`t do you any good.

Gojyo> ::starts collecting what Goku throws down:: We will need much more, Goku......

Hakkai> I'm used to it......::He softly caresses Sanzo's hand, not knowing what else to do now::

Goku> ::looks down:: Can`t we just take some of the trees here and use the axe to make them smaller?

Gojyo> That would be a great idea.......come down!

Goku> Okay. ::he jumps down and lands next to Gojyo::

Sanzo> ::feeling Hakkai`s touch, he looks at him a bit confused:: Do you.... ::shakes his head:: Aw, forget it.

Hakkai> What? ::looks at him::

Gojyo> I could try to cut it right through.......

Sanzo> Do you want me to change the blankets and towels again?

Goku> Okay, then try that. I`ll catch it and lay it beside and we can go on. ::smiles at him::

Hakkai> Yes, that would be very kind of you.......

Gojyo> ::he holds out his hand and his weapon appears:: Stand back! ::with a hard move he slices right through the tree::

Sanzo> ::nods:: Okay. ::he stands up and changes towels and blankets, then looks at Hakkai again:: Do you want more soup?

Hakkai> No, thank you, I'm feeling much better right now........::he still can't do anything but look at him::

Goku> Good one! ::he catches the falling tree and throws it a bit away, where it`s not in the way:: 

Gojyo> Okay....now we have to get an axe and chop it down so we can take it with us.....

Sanzo> Fine. ::shakes his head:: And why are you staring at me like this?

Hakkai> Gomen nasai, but I can't change it....I have never seen you be so caring for anyone of us.......::He looks away::

Goku> ::thinks for a moment:: I have an idea. When we have enough, I bring them to the cabin and you can start with the axe. When we got all there, you can make a break and I`ll continue with the axe. So we don`t have to cut them here and then carry down. ::looks at him::

Gojyo> Are you sure you can carry that?

Sanzo> <w> It`s only for you, because I know you`d do the same for me. ::he stands up and comes over to him:: But now you shoud sleep.

Goku> ::shrugs:: Sure. ::he walks over to the tree and lifts it up:: It`s not that heavy, you see?

Hakkai> ::his heart suddenly misses a beat hearing that and having Sanzo so close again. His eyes show a bit of his confusion and he`s close to lose his usual calmness::

Gojyo> ::stares at him:: alright........::he looks for the next tree:: How about that one?

Goku> ::nods:: Yea, kill it!

Gojyo> ::He aims carefully and cuts the tree down::

Sanzo> ::leans over him:: You heard me? Sleep. It`s an order from your nurse. ::smiles at him lightly::

Hakkai> A nurse? ::he smiles back, trying to fight the urge that now burns deep inside of him::

Sanzo> ::nods, still the light smile on his face, he leans down more and lightly kisses Hakkai`s forehead:: <w> Be a good boy now, will you?

Hakkai> ::his whole body shivers when Sanzo kisses his forehead but he nods and closes his eyes. A few seconds later he lightly falls asleep::

Gojyo> ::he starts cutting a few more trees and then he looks at Goku again:: I guess that's enough of them. 

Goku> ::smiles at him:: Then let`s get to work. ::he picks two of the trees up:: I just hope Hakkai`ll soon be better.
