If tisn't here, chances are . . . tis in the Manga section!! Or it doesn't exist?

*Vampire Hunter D = has sci-fi technology and vintage medieval horror; artwork by Yoshitaka Amano; there's a video game. A girl is bitten by a vampire, and finds a Vampeel (half vampire, half human) to try and kill the evil vampire.

*Vampire Princess Miyu = Unlike the OAV, Miyu is the main character here, not Himiko. Most episodes start off with the introduction of a strange situation, followed by the plot revelation, and then somewhere in the last 5 minutes or so Miyu shows up and fights. These episodes rarely end up with happy endings. Miyu also gets another Shinma hunter ally named Reiha who she doesn't get along with, and you know from day one that these two will end up as enemies in the end. I think the only reason Reiha exists is so Miyu has someone to talk to and provide plot exposition.

*Vampire Wars = has vampires and unrelenting blood-spurting spectacles

*Video Girl Ai [Love] = romantic

*Virtua Fighter = ?

*Voices of a Distant Star = anime short created by Maktoto Shinkai on his home computer. It tells the story of young Mikako, who joins the resistance to fend off an alien race's attack on humans. Sent to the far reaches of space, Mikako can only communicate to his love, Noboru, by cell-phone text messages -- and as time goes on, the messages take longer to travel. Can their love survive the passage of time and the brutal war?

*Voltron = ?

*VS Knight Ramune & 40 Fire = 1996 mecha remake
