| Here's us (Me, my friend Aman and his Mom went) at the Taj Mahal in Agra (short train ride east of Delhi). This is the largest monument to love ever created. A past king lost his wife during child labor (her 14th child!) and he missed her so much that he wanted to build her the most beautiful tomb in the world. So he made this out of pure white marble with lots of inlayed stonework. Took almost 20 years. And now the two of them are buried in the basement. The whole compound is really beautiful, even just the entrance gate is marvelous. Locals pay 50cents, foreigners pay $17 entrance. I passed as a local so I got in for 50cents! :) |
