Candy Cane Kitchen Set
This is the extremely popular series I created for Christmas 2003, now offered as a four piece pattern set or already completed for you. This stunning collection can easily be adapted to any decor or season by simply using any two colours of your choice. All of the pieces are crocheted using worsted weight cotton yarn with varying combinations of conventional and cro-hook stitches. Detailed descriptions of each of the patterns are below.

Hot Pad - This extra thick hot pad is suitable for use as a potholder to protect your hands or hot mat to protect your counter. The main part of this pattern is worked using a double-ended hook, with the edging worked in conventional crochet stitches. It measures approximately 8" square.
Pot Handle Cozy - This handy little sleeve slides over the handles of your pots and pans to protect your hands from burns without using a potholder. It is worked entirely in conventional crochet stitches, and is fast enough that you can easily make several in an evening. It measures approximately 7" long, and can accomodate most pot handles.
Hanging Towel - You won't be picking this towel up off of the floor! It stays where you put it since you attach it to your cupboard, fridge or oven handle with the hanging tab and button. The towel section is worked using a double-ended hook, with the hanger section and optional edging worked with conventional crochet stitches. The towel is approximately 9" wide and 12" long, and you can adjust the length of the hanger to accomodate wider kitchen handles.
Dish Cloth - This pretty cloth rounds out the set -- and looks just as sweet beside you sink ready for duty as it does in use! The texture of the pattern makes it a practical as well as attractive accessory. It is worked using a double-ended hook, with the edging worked in conventional crochet stitches. It measures approximately 8" square.
