Cold Spring. April 28th, 1899.-- Death visited the home of Nic. Schreifels of the town of Luxemburg last night, and took as his tribute the beloved wife of Veteran Nic. Schreifels. The deceased, Barbara Schreifels nee Zenner, was born in Moersdorf, grand duchy Luxemburg, on Feb. 1, 1849, immigrated with her parents to this country in1869, who took a claim in St. Wendel, this country, and was on the 29th day of November, 1869, at the St. Nicholas church in th town of Luxeburg, married to her surviving husband. The decesed was the mother of eleven children, of which nine are still living to mourn with their father the loss of a dear beloved mother and wife. She was a woman of many good traits and was beloved by all who knew her. The funeral will take place Saturday at 10 a. m., under the auspices of the Married Ladies' Society of the church, of which she was a faithful member. There is a general sympathy to the family of Nic. Schreifels on the account of the sad bereavement that overtook them.

Barbara married Nicholaus SCHREIFELS, son of Johann SCHREIFELS and Margaretha M�LLER, on 29 Nov 1865 in St. Nicholas, Stearns County, Minnesota, USA. (Nicholaus SCHREIFELS was born on 12 Jan 1837 in Mettendorf, Breuben, Rhineland, Preussen, Germany and died on 10 Aug 1921 in Tampa Bay, Hillsborough County, Florida, USA.)
