Now the question on everyone's mind is:  who exactly is Nicole Fulton, anyway?  Well, I'm not much right now, just a girl with a guitar and a voice, a knack for creativity, and a desire to be heard.  I am a solo artist (I think it's safe to say my band broke up since I haven't heard from any of the other members in over two months now).  Bands are funny (and musicians are nothing short of impossible sometimes).  Mostly, I've just been playing and writing recently, and learning about recording.  I'd consider myself a guitar player (both acoustic and electric), but for recording purposes, I take a shot at bass and fiddle around with my dad's drum machine, because I like full instrumental songs.  I'm 19 years old, I live in Ellington, CT, and if you've never heard of it, don't worry because most people haven't.  I was in a band, on and off, for almost a year.  I met the guys almost exactly a year ago.  I miss working with them and would like to find another band to work with.  When it's just me, my writing is terribly stunted by me lack of talent with instruments.
I don't really know what else you'd want to know about me.  I've been playing guitar since I was 15, and been singing practically since I was in the womb.  I love to play music and sing.  I'm very feminist and love girl bands to the point where you might say I'm a girl band junkie.  I love hearing about new bands, and I'm a firm supporter of local artists trying to pull themselves up from the depths of the underground.
People ask me what my music sounds like.  I don't really know how to even begin describing it.  I've asked others, and they can't help me much either.  I sound like myself, and that's about it, but my most prominent influences would be the Pixies, Veruca Salt, Letters to Cleo and Kay Hanley (who'm I've had the distinguished pleasure of meeting.  I scared her by telling her how much I love her and she signed my tee-shirt), Sleater-Kinney, and many more.
Um . . . I can't think of what else to say.  I'm not very interesting, but hopefully my music is, so please go and listen.  And always remember that every band you hear on the radio was once a local band playing bars for chump change, so don't be afraid to go out there and support what could be the next big thing with a little help from people like you ;)
