Poems & Such

At the funeral my mom read this poem:

If I could have one lifetime wish,
One dream that would come true,
I would pray to God,
With all my heart,
For yesterday and you.

A thousand words can not bring you back,
I know because I've tried
And neither will a million tears
I know because I've cried.

You left behind a broken heart
And happy memories too
I never wanted memories
I only wanted you.

To your resting place I go
The flowers are placed with care,
But no one knows the heartache
As I turn to leave you there.

I dont know the author of this poem
but it was on the wall at the hospital in the room i was in and i really liked it.

We also played the song FLY by Celine Dion:

Fly, fly little wing
Fly beyond imagining
The softest cloud,the whitest dove
Upon the wind of heaven's love
Past the planets nd the stars
Leave this lonely world of ours
Escape the sorrow and the pain
And fly again

Fly,fly precious one
Your endless journey has begun
Take your gentle happiness
Far too beartiful for this
Cross over to the other shore
There is peace forevermore
But hold this mem'ry bittersweet
Until we meet

Fly, fly do not fear
Don't waste a breath, don't shed a tear
Your heart is pure, your soul is free
Be on your way, don't wait for me
Above the universe you'll climb
On beyond the hands of time
The moon will rise, the sun will set
But I won't forget

Fly, fly little wing
Fly where only Angels sing
Fly away, the time is right
Go now, find the light

Yet another poem

The Mention Of Her Name

"The mention of my child's name
May bring tears to my eyes,
But it never fails to bring
Music to my ears.

If you are really my friend,
Let me hear the beautiful music
of her name.
It southes my broken heart
And sings to my soul."
