Benefits:

There are lots of benefits to lasers. Without lasers mankind would be so different. Every patient who has a

small spot of a disease like cancer would have to be cut all up, when you could simply insert a small fiber optic

tube with a laser at the end and destroy the disease easily. People who have eye problems would have to

constantly wear glasses or put in irritating contacts every morning instead of simply getting their eyes reshaped

by a quick laser procedure. Also everyday life would be very different. A simple trip to the grocery store would

take twice the time. The cashier would have to type in every code for your food items instead of shining a

recording laser onto the food item and getting the code from the laser into the computer or cash register.

People would have a difficult time contacting one another. Lasers make it easy to communicate by transmitting

telephone signals from one phone to another
