Glossary
Ok, so you aren't sure what kaiten sushi or a gaijin is? Or you just generally haven't got a clue what I'm jabbering on about? Welcome to the glossary page!
Gaijin:   Literally meaning "alien", this is the commonly used word for foreigners (or at least white people) in Japan.
Kaiten Sushi:   Sushi on a conveyor belt - it goes round and round and round, you take what you like the look of. You are either charged according to the number of different coloured plates you have amassed, or by a single "All you can eat" fee.
Konbini:   A Japanese abbreviation for "convenience store" - a wonderful place that sells food, alcohol and random stuff 24 hours a day. Usually one of the following companies: Lawson, Seven-Eleven, Family Mart.
Light Sabres:   The name given by myself and friends to the flahing wands carried by traffic policemen to rather pointlessly guide people across perfectly safe roads!
Calpis:   Though it may sound rude, this is actually a yummy drink that makes a very good mixer and is now also, to my great delight, sold hot in cans in Lawsons! Somehow made with some kind of milk extract, but I love it despite hating milk!
Tabehodai:  All you can eat.

Nomihodai:  All you can drink.
