Back to work today after 10 days off - urgh!!! (Typically the weather has just started to improve today!) But we weren't very busy so I had lots of free periods - just as well really because I have got quite a bad cold, and I am sure I am going to start coughing uncontrollably in a lesson soon if I have to go on talking so much!!! Just hoping I don't lose my voice as that would definitely put me out of action at work, and we don't get paid sick days, so I'd be losing money, which I can't realy afford to do at the moment!
Went to Universal Studios Japan on Thursday, which was great! It was freezing cold and there were ong queues during the morning, but we went on all the rides (Jurassic Park logflume, Back to the Future ride, ET bike ride, Terminator 3D cinema, Backdraft fire display and Jaws boat ride!) We also saw a couple of shows (Wild Wild West, Waterworld and Monster Make-up) and saw loads of original props used in films like the actual gate from Jurassic Park, the giant catapult from Gladiator, a statue from The Mummy, the Back to the Future car and The Terminator. The food etc was quite expensive, but not as overpriced as we had expected, and we found a nice American style 1950s "drive in diner" for tea.
