Hunting License:
Persons of all ages, who hunt anywhere in the State of Hawaii (on public, private, or military land), are required by law to have a valid State of Hawaii Hunting License.  These Licenses are valid throughout the state during the fiscal year (July 1st to June 30th) for which they are issued.  License fees are:

- Resident Hunting License................................................$20 total  (10 dollar license plus a $10 wildlife stamp required)
- Non-Resident Hunting License.........................................$105 total  (95 dollar license plus a $10 wildlife stamp required)
- Resident Senior Citizens (65 years of age or older).............Free

Persons residing in the State of Hawaii for one year or longer are considered residents under the State hunting license laws.  Licenses being purchased for a minor (under 18) must be countersigned by a parent or guardian.  There is no minimum age to hunt in Hawaii but hunters who are under 16 years of age must be acompanied by an adult with a valid state hunting license.

Hunters Education or Hunters Safety Course required.  Non Residents need a "Letter of Exemption" in order to purchase a Hawaii Hunting License. 
Letters of Exemption are issued free to those who have an out-of-state Hunter Education card or a State of Hawaii Hunting License issued prior to July 1, 1990.  Go here to get a Letter of Exemption.
