Dear Christopher the reason of this proposal to introduce test screening to italian police officers on a regular basis to italian police officers reasoned by the many negative events verified to police officers in Italy by depression factors, stress job related problems, domestic violences where families have been kidnapped, about my opinion this proposal of introducing test screening by the italian authorities aren't the best solutions i am allowed to think that the italian authorities need to find other solutions to care about the health of thyer police officers this is an easy way to fire police officers from thyer services and this sysyem is not the best practice about my opinion. What kind of programmes are on-going to eliminate theese problems that often happen to police officers as depression that is one of the main factor in the United KIngdom? for exampe the ASSOCIATION OF POLICE HEALTH SAFETY ADVISOR has been instituzionalized in UK to check the conditions of police departments or all those health therapy which are practiced in the UK to redeuce stress related problems and depression reasoned by hard work conditTATE POLICE

I am sorry for the delay in responding to your email. I have been out and in
the office a lot recently.
Provision of nurses and Occupational Health Support within the Police
Service varies from Force to Force. Some are support staff (civilians rather
than police officers) employees of the Force or Police Board. There are some
Forces that buy a service from an outside body, for example Health Service
or similar provider.
Like the Safety Advisors having APHSA there is a body representing nurses in
the Police Service. I will try to find out the Name and Address of someone
that you or your colleague can contact and will be in touch.
