Weathered, weak, and weary the reflection doesn't lie as I face another morning in this charade called life The mirror shows the years in all the lines upon my face as I strive to cover and conceal on the surface, what I can't erase Life's trials and tribulations disappointments, toil, and strife brought wisdom, strength, and charactor to this lover, mother, and wife So many parts to play so many lines to memorize I search for inspiration raise my eyes and whisper "why?!" Then bleary eyed and touseled the mirror reflects another face as my son whispers "Good morning" all doubts vanish, with out a trace (c) Pamela Holland (Raven) 2004 |
