I WATCHED THIS FILM ON LATE NIGHT TV, I DIDN'T EXPECT MUCH FROM IT, AND DIDN'T GET MUCH FROM IT EITHER, HOWEVER, IT WAS ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS DUE TO THE STORYLINE, BAD ACTING AND RIDICULOUS PLOT THAT SENT THIS SPIRALLING INTO MY ZOMBIE MOVIES COLLECTION.
THE PLOT:

NOT TOO HARD TO GRASP. A MILITARY ORGANISATION LOSE A BARREL OF TOXIC CHEMICALS, HOWEVER, AFTER A COCK-UP IN IT'S RETRIEVAL, A LOWSY BUNCH OF REDNECKS DISCOVER IT AND END UP USING IT AS A STILL FOR THEIR MOONSHINE AFTER TRANSLATING 'DANGER RADIOACTIVE' INTO 'DO NOT OPEN TILL CHRISTMAS.' OF COURSE, SOON THEY DRINK THEIR NEW MOONSHINE CONCOCTION AND SO DOES THE WHOLE TOWN AND EVENTUALLY A GROUP OF CAMPERS, HIGH ON GRASS STUMBLE INTO A WHOLE MESS O' REDNECK ZOMBIE BANJO LOVING TROUBLE.
OH...I'M A LUMBERJACK AND I DON'T CARE...
'THR ROCK' AFTER A NIGHT IN ZOMBIETOWN?
DESPITE USING SUBTITLES, THIS FILM STILL DIDN'T MAKE SENSE TO THE FRENCH...
CAN ANYONE SAY TOBE HOOPER?
'WE DON'T TAKE KINDLY TO YOUR TYPE AROUND HERE!'
THE NEW HAIR GEL FOR MEN...
TRADITIONAL BABY FOOD WASN'T ENOUGH FOR REDNECK BABIES
SHAVING...THE REDNECK WAY...
Redneck Zombies 1987 - "Filmed In Entrail Vision"

Again Troma strikes our screens and this time a bloody hoard of zombies descends upon us, but in Britain, viewers only know there's zombies in it thanks to the title! It is that heavily cut! Anyway, the typically brainless plot goes as follows...a barrel of radioactive waste is lost in the middle of hick-county where of course, rednecks find the barrel and assume it as a new still for their brand of moonshine, an order of it due the following day in fact. So, they use it to make their radioactive moonshine and deliver it all across the area, and hazah! Zombies on the loose! Que gallons or gore and buckets of guts as the Troma team tear their way through the woodlands ripping everyone apart, or in Britain, gayly lollopping about in fairytale mode only to hear several people scream off camera. Ta da!

Trivia:

Heavily cut in the UK - almost all the gore has been excised and the notorious 'zombie rape' sequence is nowhere to be seen making this a rather dull movie. An excess movie minus the excess in effect.

The effects in the movie, i.e. shakey camera with drugged up colour swirlings was used as they had the chance to. They didn't need to use that 'special effect,' but as they had it, they though, why not?

Tagline:

"They're Tobacco Chewin', Gut Chompin', Cannibal Kinfolk from Hell!"
