Five long years on from the first invasion of the un-dead, a small group of scientists and army members search long and hard for remnants of life in a 100 mile radius from their position somewhere in the middle of America.
After months, possibly a year or so of trying to figure out a cure for the disease, or at least a method to domesticate the dead so that they may perhaps be able to control these flesh-eating beasts, they have nothing.
Torn by their differences and with the lack of ideas and equipment, the army members and the scientists become enemies within the smae compound. As their cause becomes ever more hopeless and as the still-increasing numbers of zombies gather outside their compound gates, it is clear that mankind has become doomed to hell and that the only possibility is to make most of what's left and make a run for the nearest safe island using their chopper, and make the most of a bad situation.
Gradually, members of each team fall foul of the curse of the zombies and as they do, the remaining members fight with each other as their own futures become their only aim. Soon, the zombies break in and are able to infiltrate the base, swallowing up all and everything in their path, escape is impossible, their fate set, but the will of the remnants of life is strong, but can they really fight the force of the screaming hoards of the un-dead? |
