Chapter 20
Gwen was having a blast cruising around in Nick's Yukon and shopping. She easily fulfilled Nick's request. Spending $5,000 in an afternoon isn't hard, especially when you come from a wealthy family. Gwen had yet to tell Nick about her family's wealth, she just didn't think it was important. Because she did have money of her own, it felt weird to be spending Nick's. Rather than just buy the stuff for herself, she kept her promise to Nick - with a small catch - she had been buying him something with her money everytime she bought herself something with his. She picked up mostly basic pieces, which was her style...solids that fit the lines of her body, with a touch of trend - an a couple of more interesting pieces, like the red satin bikini and some jewelry from James Avery. While she was shopping at James Avery, she picked up something special for Nick. As she was driving out the mall exit, the Nick's cell phone rang. She checked the caller ID and it said 'STUDIO', she answered, "Hello."
"Hey Doll, we are wrapping things up. How was your day?"
"Good, I have some bras now -"
"Thats too bad, I was starting to get used to you being a free woman," they both laughed, "I hope that isn't all you bought and that you did what I asked."
"I did what you asked me to do, but I have a couple of suprises for you too."
"What? That wasn't part of our deal."
"You didn't say it wasn't an option. Anyways, are you guys hungry? I can pick something up on my way if you would like."
"I am starving, let me ask the guys." There were voices in the background and Nick came back, "Well, AJ wants McDonald's."
"OK - well, I am going to stop at Subway for me. I can't eat that crap from McDonald's."
She could hear Nick asking the guys if they wanted McDonald's or Subway. He got back on the line and began giving the order, Gwen stopped him when he got to himself, "Baby, are you sure you want Subway, I know you aren't big on healthy food."
"I want to stay good looking for my girl...just get me what ever you are going to have. Whatever you eat sure works for you so maybe it can help me out."
"You are too sweet to me. OK - I think I have got it."
OK, we'll see you in a few."
"Alright Nicky, love you - BYE" she said as she hung up.
"Gwen is a lifesaver, I am starving." Howie said.
"Your telling me," NIck replied, "I don't know what I would do without her."
"So Nick, what did she do to get you out of that?" Kevin asked.
"Nothing really, I think I just needed to see her and know that everything is alright with us, it was tough not talking to her for those two weeks."
"I am guessing that she called off the wedding?" AJ asked.
"Yep." Nick went into the story of what happened between Gwen and Collin.
As he was finishing up, Denise walked in and said, "Well, at least I know why you guys wouldn't sing at Collin Fox's wedding," she paused and looked at Nick,"Let just hope that the press doesn't get a hold of this one."
The guys all knew the reprocussions that this story could have on all of thier lives, not to mention Gwen and her relationship with Nick.
