I am hoping that Max will keep growing.  Our book on Dragons say that he can grow up to 2 feet long!

Then we will have to buy a new cage for him.
Right now he lives in a 20 gallon long aquarium.  But I can tell that it will be too small soon.

Max has two special lights on his cage.  One is a light that is like sunlight which he needs to keep him healthy and to grow.  And the other one is a heat light.  Dragons are from the desert, so they like it hot.  Under Max's heat light, it is about 90 degrees.  Too hot for me, but he loves it.  He climbs up onto his branch to get as close as he can to the heat light.

When I take Max out of his cage, he likes to climb up onto my shoulder.  It is safer for him there too because my dog Trigger can't reach him.  Trigger looks at Max like he is a chew toy..........
Max is my "Dragon", a Bearded Dragon.

Max turned seven months old in Dec. 05, four months after we brought him home.  He has grown so fast !  He eats like a little pig!  We feed him crickets, kale, mustard greens, carrots, apples, and bearded dragon pellets.  My mom calls him "The Fat Dragon" =) When Max gets bigger, he will eat
baby mice too.
To show how much Max has grown since we brought him home, look at the picture below of him in my hand (Aug. 05), and compare it to the one above (four months later)..
