Play My Song - Chapter 4

Nick flipped from channel to channel on his television. Nothing interesting. Just trying to kill time before his bodyguard showed up. He knew that if he went down to the venue by himself, well, lets just say he wouldnt make it in one piece.
Nick finally stayed on a local channel and watched the news. A homicide. Weather: gray skies, more snow.
News never changes out here, Nick thought.
Nicks phone rang and he quickly stumbled to pick it up.
Hello?
Hey, Nick? This is Mike, the bartender from downstairs.
"Oh, hey. Nick said, slightly confused as to why the bartender was calling him.
I just got notification that your guard will be another 40 minutes late. He said you can either leave on your own or wait for him and cut your rehearsals short.
Oh...shit. Nick pondered his choices. Yea okay. Ill brave it and come down. Is it bad?
Yea its pretty bad. But heres the deal. If you have a girl with you, pretending to be your girlfriend, the fans will be so heartbroken that it may be easier to get out.
Think so? Nick asked with a laugh.
I know so. Ive hooked up John Mayer the same. Trust me, it works. So if youd like, I can send up a pretty girl for you right now. Mike winked at Sadie and she smiled back.
Nick sighed, Okay. Go for it.
Mike gave Sadie a thumbs up. She then gave a goodbye hug to Rylie, then made her way to the elevators.
Okay. Shell be up there in a few. Good luck.
Thanks. Nick hung up and shut off the TV, then went into the bathroom to change into a cleaner t-shirt and jeans.

Sadie made her way up to Nicks floor. The doors of the elevator opened and she stepped out. Looking around, she didnt notice anything different from the other floors, except that this floor was more silent than the others. She made her way to the door and fixed her hair before knocking. She waited.
Nothing.
Helloooo. She called. "Is anybody home?"
Still no response.
Sadie nervously glanced at the ground, looking at her new shoes. Then, the door slowly opened. Sadies gaze met his. Such beautiful blue eyes. His smile was incredible. So happy and heartwarming.
Hi. Im Nick. They shook.
Hi. She blushed. Im Sadie.
Sadie, Thats a pretty name. Very unique.
Thanks. She couldnt help staring into his eyes and smiling.
Well come on in. Nick invited.
Sadie made her way inside as Nick shut the door behind her.
