Play My SongChapter 2

Sadie watched as more and more fans gathered into the hotel lobby. She turned to her friend Rylie and said,
Were never gonna catch him now. Theres hundreds of girls waiting out there to attack him.
Rylie turned away from the bar to look at the crowd, tossing her auburn hair over her shoulder.
Sadie, I guarantee that not one of those girls can sing as well as you can.
But this is stupid.  Sadie replied.
What is?
Sadie glared at an over-excited adolescent fan. All of this! Stalking a celebrity, let alone a boyband member, just to get a record deal? Its dumb and hes going to throw my demo away the second I turn my back.
Its worth a shot. Rylie comforted. "Plus I've heard that he's a really sweet guy."
They both turned back to the bar and ordered another round of Smirnoff Ice.
Minutes later, Sadie continued, Okay. Say he does listen to my demo and actually likes it. Then what?
Then, hopefully, we can con him into wanting to help you sign a record deal and to start you on your successful path to stardom", Rylie beamed.
Sadie rolled her eyes,
Little Minnesota girl becomes superstar by stalking Nick Carter. Now thats a winning story. I can just see the headline now.
Rylie swiveled her stool to face Sadie, Why are you being so negative?
Because Im half nervous and half embarrassed to be here in the first place. I feel like Im going to make a complete fool of myself.
Rylie cocked her eyebrow, How?
Sadie laughed, Because I tend to do that.
Rylie smiled, Just chill. Everything is going to be perfect.
Sadie took another swig of her drink as she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned around to find a fan standing there. The girl was about fifteen, had dirty blonde hair, and was wearing an I (heart) Nick t-shirt.
Are you Nick Carters girlfriend? She asked through all the metal and wires in her mouth.
Sadie giggled, No sorry hun. Im not.
Because the rumor in the lobby is that you are.
Oh. Sadie looked into the lobby and waved at all the fans that were waving back at her.
The girl pulled out a pen and some paper then asked, Can you sign this anyway and I can pretend you are?
Um, sure. Whats your name?
Katie.
No problem Katie.
She signed the paper:
then waved goodbye to the girl. She watched as the other girls in the lobby gathered to see the autograph.
Sadie giggled, "That was weird."
Rylie watched as the girls in the lobby continued to gaze at Sadie in delight. "I've got a feelin' that this is only the beginning."
