Classic Bedford-Bletchley scenery of old, Brickworks, sidings and 25140 and 25266, all a bit different now….

A classic "small Sulzer" line up on Bletchley HS, 25239,032,279 and 276 on what looks like typical May Day bank holiday weather! !1983 was the last year of such scenes as by 1984 class 31’s had made their unwelcome arrival on some BY "rat" turn’s.

Looks like a classic 81017 on 1B07 evening Cobbler phot. The closed windows and lack of punters give the clue that, as being an Easter Monday, this was a Euston-Northampton ECS move to position the stock. Obviously control picked the "fish" for ECS and some can for the class 1 Cobbler!

After a good run 47851 unfortunately failed at Dudswell with the return 1Z48 Portsmouth-Chesterfield tour, 47786 rear end assisted to BY before running round leaving around an hour down for the run along the branch…I’m sure a few captions could be added as to what the front coach window hanger is saying!!!

After replacing 2 car EPB’s in the late 80’s the North London line scene is changing, Scenes of 313116 and 112 alongside each other are becoming less common. The line was inflicted with more 378 diagrams from 0510 and yes, service reliability has gone down in the short term.

Presumably having been swapped off an Abbey turn, 321433 is on the spare road at Watford. 433 is one of 4 321’s expected to leave the WCML with late November’s diagram changes associated with 377’s taking over from 350’s on Southern services

Clapham "grid", 56312 eases up through Britain’s busiest station en route from Balham to the North London line and onwards to the WCML.

6X66 on 0810 got the usual 92 and 4 Anglia liveried Mk IIe’s in its consist through LB
