I had hoped to direct this film project around 2002. The script was finished, some of the parts had been cast, and most of the locations scouted -- around the large old scout hall I was living in at the time.
Set in Newtown's goth underworld, it was intended to be shot digital video.
This is an A4 poster concept rendered in coloured pencil, copies of which were glued to script covers.
Except for Centerpoint Tower in the distance, all the buildings in the poster are Newtown landmarks.
Alas, things went pearshaped for me around that time, and I moved out of the area. Sadly, the Newtown of only a few years ago no longer exists, having been swept away in a wave of gentrification.
