Background

My passion for business can be traced back to my early childhood. When I was nine years old, I began selling toys at local festivals to make extra money. This lasted for a few years until I became too busy with school and extracurricular activities. I was able to revisit my passion for business when I enrolled in the Virtual Enterprises International program in high school. VEI is a nonprofit that allows students to establish and manage companies through a live, global business simulation. I took the responsibility of Chief Marketing Officer, honed my marketing skills, and won first place in the Impact Marketing Competition at the 2015 San Diego Trade Show, a competition with thousands of students from all over the United States. This program solidified my interest in business and convinced me to pursue a career in marketing.

Since enrolling in college, I’ve spent most of my time furthering my business knowledge both inside and outside of the classroom. When I’m not in class, I spend my time reading business books and taking online courses on a variety of business skills such as digital marketing, web design, and sales. With my current skills and passion to continuously improve, I believe I can be a very valuable asset to an organization.

Future Work

Following graduation, I'd like to begin working as an online marketing manager because I have a passion for helping businesses grow their online presence.
