Ok, Sherry---Look, I sent you an email months ago and got no response...yet,you come to the website and make little comments to everyone but me...Yes, I am feeling neglected---LOL--- So, how is everyone doing? Life in CT. is status quo...I am desperately trying to get through this final year (I am hoping) of classes and boy is it kicking my butt. I guess I shouldn't have thought it would be easy right up until the end--I guess that s why they say the last 100 yards are the most difficult. Anyway, I hope all of you are well--drop me a line sometime and let me know how you all are doing. Oh, and I will be in town for Thanksgiving this year. Coming home the 20th thru the 26th. Hope to see you all then. Rodd, this time we are getting to th gym--ok? Sherry, this time I will make it out for coffee, and Krista, drinks??? Talk to you all soon.. Love, Tam

Hi Nicky, I'm sorry it took so long to write. The reunion was awesome!! Thanks for all the hard work. Can you believe that it was over 4 months ago? I can't. And the best part, was that I got to go out with my classmates. It only took 14 years! :) And for tho e who didn't think it would be okay for a church worker to enter a bar, or drink, I'm still working and the Lord hasn't struck me dead. I hope all of you are doing well. Rodd, I feel for ya. I got ripped off for 20 bucks by a stranger, so I can just ima ine it feels worse by a friend of so many years. It was a great reunion. Thanks everyone for being there. And thanks Nikky for all the hard work. I am keeping David in my prayers as well as all those men overseas.

Hi, hows everybody doing? I haven't checked in for sooooooo long but was happy to see some of you are still signing in. Nicky: I have been thinking about you lately and if you ever need to get out you are always welcome to come out with the kids and vis t. I can only imagine how hard it must have been for you to see David leave for such a long time. Call anytime you wish. Krista: How's everything at F.U. I can imagine that its keeping you very busy. I meant to tell you that I saw Trina in Econo Foods about a week ago. I wasn't aware that she had moved back up here. Call if you ever get the urge to go out and have a bee or two. Kelly: Hi, My husband is suppose to go to Germany this year for a conference for his job. I'm not sure on exactly where but will check as the date approaches and if I am able to go with him I will try to look you up and maybe you could be our tour guide or a day. I'll keep you posted as it unfolds. Rodd: I read your letter and am very sorry that Jeff has done this to you. I talked to him about a month ago at Walmart and he said he was leaving in 2 weeks to move to Arizona. Obviously this didn't happen. I know he's had some problems but until he' ready to get help there is nothing anyone can do to help him. I hope the day comes when he decides to change his life around and apologize to everybody that he let down. One more quick note before I go, Is anyone interested in organizing the fruit sale for the LLH PTO??? (ha, ha)

We have many deployed friends there if he gets lonesome... Also if you get too lonesome I have the name of a great hotel in BuddaPest(that's where we go to visit our spouces when they are down range) Ko ovo is unfortunatly downrange. Good for him. Contracters are taken care of and the year will fly by. Has Krista ever taken Space-A flight? Are you able to use that benifit with government contracting? Tell him to bring entertainment! There is nothing ther !He'll have to shop at AAFES(small shopette) But he can get you cool cheap stuff from the Albanians ,they have bazzars every few months and because our dollar is like ten to one right now there. We even surpass the euro. Anyway enough babble . E-mail when you are lonesome... Please tell krista the same. Been there and I know you both have too.

Hey Kelly,... just as your husband is coming home, mine is leaving!! He's leaving on Sunday (9-17-00) for training in VA and then on the 28th (if everything goes well in VA) he leaves for a one year peace mission in Kosovo. He'll be working as a civilian police officer - training in locals to become police officers. I'm going to miss him, but he'll be making some big bucks, so we'll deal with it. At least we have experience being seperated since he was in the Marine Corps. I'm sure I'll get thru it, an Krista's husband is still in Japan, so we'll be get thru it together... Anyways,... have fun with your hubby!! Oh, are you pregnant Kelly?? or are you just making teddy bears for the hobby??? You stumped me on that one... :-)

Hello, all. I would like to thank those of you who have sent me an email on this confirming that I have done the right thing. I would like to point out though that this is not a money issue. I hope the main theme of my previous post didn't sound like i was. Yes $600 is $600 but it is petty cash as compared to losing a life long friend; $600 can be made back. Thanks again.

Hey Rodd, Again I just wanted to send many regrets your way. What a way to be burned by someone, especially that someone. That really disturbs me about Jeff. But I guess, we all do change and it's been 10 years since we really thought that we knew him. Does any ody have anything to say with regards to what poor Rodd has experienced? Back in the school days, twenty dollars was a lot to lose. Now for me it would be hard to lose one hundred dollars but $600. I would be very pissed which you are,so Rodd definitel do not feel bad. I wish you luck in getting it back. I will do some praying for you so you do get it back and I will definitely pray for Jeff. He sounds like he needs a lot of that. Margaret

Hello, everyone. I have a very disturbing event to share with you all. Do you remember Jeff Wakeham...you know, the person we all liked for various reasons. Well, I'm sorry to say that Jeff Wakeham is a liar and a thief. This is not a joke. Jeff has heated me out of $600 of my hard earned income. About two and a half weeks ago, Jeff phoned me at work and asked if he could borrow $600 from me. He told me he needed it to puchase a car from a guy who was leaving town that day. He said he would have bo rowed it from his mom and dad but they were down at Mayo's for his mom's operation. He also said that they were going to give him money to purchase this car anyway so he would be able to pay me back within three days. I debated it in my mind for a short time and then agreed to BORROW Jeff the money because he has been a life long friend-even though I knew of some of the problems he has had in recent years. Anyway, about 5 days later, I still hadn't heard from Jeff so I gave him a call to see what was go ng on. He didn't give a clear answer but assured me I would get it within a few days because his parents had to put the money into his account. So I waited for a few days and there was still no call from Jeff. I called him again and told him I was comi g over to get the money. He gave me a check for $600 and we then went out for lunch...my treat. I went to the bank to cash the check after I dropped him off and they told me there was not enough money in the account. I drove back to Jeffs (very pissed ff) and banged on the door and to my suprise, he actually had the guts to open the door. I gave him some choice words and he told me he would call his parents to see what in the heck they did with the money(like it was their fault). Again I waited for a couple of days and no word from Jeff. I finally called him and he told me that his parents had put the money in the wrong account and that was why the check bounced. I told him I wanted the money by a certain date and that I wanted it in cash and that h had to bring it to me because I was not about to chase after my own money. He basically said it wouldn't be a problem. Again, I waited...but no word from Jeff. I called him and he told me he would drop it off the next day. Well, the next day he calle me from work and said he was in such a rush to get to work that he had forgotten to take the money with him...but he had the money at home in his dresser. All of this went on for about two weeks-me calling Jeff and him making promises he wouldn't keep. On a few occasions, I actually asked him about the car and he said his parents had driven it to Marquette to see if there were any problems with it and theat he like the car. He told me it had a wobbly wheel, it had 70,000 miles etc. etc. I called him a ain to see what in the hell he was up to and he told me he drove by the house to give it to me but I wasn't home(he didn't want to put $600 in the mailbox). He told me he went to the bank and took out a money order and put it in the mail this past friday Well, tuesday came and still no check. I realized then that I had been cheated by a con artist. I called Jeff's mom to see if any of Jeffs stories were true. She told me she never was down at Mayo's, Jeff never bought a car and that they never would ive Jeff any money. She also said I should never had borrowed him any money. Well, friends...what can I say? What can you say about a man who's own parents don't even trust him. The Jeff we all once knew is a complete loser, liar, and a cheat. I know hat some of you will not want to believe this and you'll probably hate me for this-but the truth had to come out about JEFF WAKEHAM. What hurts the most is that he actually looked me in the face and lied so many times-after all we have been thought since childhood. I feel like a complete fool. I hope you all understand why I have done this. Please e-mail me if anyone has any questions or comments.

Thanks Tammi! Mark Gilles....How could you 'dis our class like you did? Mr. Football star-Just because you walked on water in highschool doesn't mean you're going to be able to forget about this one even if you apoligize a few times. Ha! Ha! Well you missed out on a good time and hopefully in 2010 you won't be called out of town on business. Well again hats off to you Miss Nicky for kicking butt with the reunion. It was a huge success. Now I'm still waiting to see the pictures on the website, and it needs to be updated, and we have to make plans for 2010 so come on already...times a wasting Ha! Ha! But seriously, thanks!!!! Go take a vacation or something like that and be sure to have your hubby give you a back rub. Oh yes, don't forget to order something from my pampered chef catalog. Hopefully, you still have it. Yes, planning the reunion is a stressful job-but just to let ya know, I wouldn't be doing it if I didn't want to... and it would be nice to know WHO IS COMING and stuff, but I'm doing just fine... I've heard from most people and know pretty much who is an isn't coming, but have yet to receive their money! Only 14 people have paid so far... UGH! But other than that, plans are all falling into place and I think the reunion will be a big success!!! I just can't wait!!! If you didn't pay yet, just bring it t the registration, I'll collect it there. If anyone has our class song on tape or CD, please bring it along... for those of you who don't remember high school, our class song was "Time for Change" by Motley Crue. haha... I want Pat to play it on the float Hey guys,... what do you think about us dressing up "80-ish" for the float?? Is that corny?? haha... just an idea... nevermind, it is pretty corny, hey? Well, we'll just have a keg of beer on it then? heheee... I'm trying to remember something funny fro high school like the rest of you have, but I can't... must have had too many other things on my mind!! haha... like BOYS!!(and a wedding--and a pregnancy!!--you know, normal senior stuff!!!) :-)But I do remember the "new kind of kool-aid" that sherry bro ght into gym class and had us all taste... Ssssssuuuuuurrrrrrreeee!!!! Oh well, I'm tired and am going to go hit the sack.. see you all in a few days! PS... I love this guestbook!!!! I check it a couple times a day hoping to see new entries!! Hey everyone, I second what Krista said regarding if you are or are not coming to the reunion. Please let Nikki know. She's going to be so excited for you. If you haven't seen her, please go and visit her. It makes her day when I visit her when I'm up in Lake Linden. These days, she's not feeling the bes . Tami, tennis balls huh. Did he hurt you? Ha! Ha! The memories that stick out for me of course are the ones with me in them too...Mr. Gindt's class-getting kicked out because I wouldn't give him my make-up compact and Mr. Columbe's Accounting class-get ing kicked out because of all of the boys(you know who you are...Klien, Grunow, LaCasse, Gilles, etc..) telling him to kick me out...Oh yes...the suspension for drinking in gym class...Do you remember that? I wouldn't have been suspended if Desnick would 't have turned in the note I wrote her. You live and learn. Ha! ha! Well I could reminisce(sp???)all night but it's no fun when you don't have a real live person to do it with. Well see everyone in a few days... Margaret

I also had him for Accounting 1 when we were Juniors because Stacy, Tanya and I did not want to take Algebra II. A d how could we forget Ms. Jankoviak...remember when she had that big hickey? Good memory Kelly! That was a very long time ago. I took typing in 7th or 8th grade, I think. Oh well, it does seem like it was ages ago especially when you try to remember things like that. Krista, are you excited to back in the u p? I guess it'll e nice for a while and then you'll probally get bored. Ha! Ha! Kelly, how do you like Germany? I traveled there back in 1992. I visited Berlin, Dresden, Hamburg, Clausthal-zellerfeld and a few other places. I visited Marc Vogel, remember him? He was a foreign exchange student back when we were in 6th grade. I ha a huge crush on him then. We finally got to be good friends a few years later and we still are keeping in touch. Well enough of my life history...We'll miss you this coming up weekend. You'll be in our thoughts...well, maybe. See ya, Margaret< r>

Hi Everyone, The reunion is about one week away. I hope everyone is getting excited. It's funny, only today did I realize that the reunion was only a few days away. It seems like it still should be further away than what it is. Well, I can't wait to see everybody. I wonder if there will be classmates who we won't recognize? On a side note...Tami, I need a refresher. Mr. Lauren taught gym class and algebra, right? Did he teach english too? Also...I just wanted to send out a big thank you to Mrs. Nicky "Superwoman" Outinen. She's doing a kickass(pardon my language)job with all of the reunion planning. We definitely appreciate all of your hardwork, Nik. Well, I'll close for now. I can't w it to see all of you. I am wondering about something though...I'm so used to being picked on when I get around this particular group of people....I wonder if that will have changed. We will soon see. Ta! Ta! Margaret

Nice comments Steph...Did you notice that you mis typed your email address as well as spelling words incorrectly. I should say that a repeat of class with Mr. Lauren would be ideal, wouldn't you? I would suggest that instead of picking on others, you sh uld look into yourself and ask yourself, "what is wrong with me?" If you would like me to answer that question, I would be happy to. I haven't been to this site in awhile so it was interesting to read all the new info. I am very disappointed that I will not be able to make it. Keith and I are leaving for a trip June 22 and coming home probably July 4th; we are going to Florida and the Bahamas. The timing isn't the best since I'll miss our reunion, but Keith planned it 1 1/2 years ago as a surprise to celebrate dating a decade! What a sweetie! I hope everyone has a great time and I'll see you at the next reunion. Maybe by that time I will be married and have a kid or two, ha, ha. Also, thank you to Nicky and Margaret and anyone else who has had a part in planning this reunion; I appreciate it and I know everyone else does too!!

If not, let me know! I can't wait to see everyone and I'll be happy when I'm relaxing at the reunion instead of planning it! haha... Talk to you all soon,... Nicky

Just dropped in to get an update.....Nicki, funny you mentioned pictures, I am in the process of packing (I sold my house and we purchased a new house together...still in Chassell) and I have come across some old pictures; most are from our high school da s. I do have one of Ryan, Jeff W. and Jeff K. in front of the school bus at camp in 6th grade, but it's far too "cute" to part with, however, I will try to remeber to bring it along (if I can find it in the boxes I've already packed). So, Nicki, I will RY to get the stack of pictures I have to you soon (I've disposed of the ones that people would now be offended by). Ryan, I may just take you up on that and meet you at the Zone for a Capt. and Diet (my favorite) :0) Depends if I have to work or not (I'm "moonlighting" at Bath and Body Works....I get a chance to deal with somewhat normal and civil people so I can stay somewhat sane). And I guess that we will make the trecherous drive form Chassell to Lake Linden for t e drinks, I mean reunion....especially since I'm forced to take Monday, July 3rd off from work (I hate when that happens) ha ha ha!!!!! See you all soon!!!!

Have been in Jap-land for over 4 years now...can't wait to eat in American restaurants, shop at Wal-Mart, go to a Mall, swim in a lake not the ocean, worry about snow storms not typhoons and earthquakes :0) celebrate American holidays, feel safe, drive a American car on the "right" side of the road, ahha...Americans take so much for granted!

I just wanted to comment on Ryan's verbal abusive attack on me--LOL--seriously though, can anyone really believe that life with me could be soooo bad?? If anything I should have my head examined for telling him to move out here with me...What was I thin ing??? Finally, I would like to say that I hope to see as many of our old classmates as possible this 4th of July. I wish that more of us were apt to attend, but I realize that for some, high school does not really represent the best time in our lives--but, one has to remember that as we have all become adults, life changes and we start to have this mutual respect and acceptance of all people, all races, creeds, colors, and sexual orientations--thus, one would hope that although the memories may not have always een rosey, that optimism would bring us to believe that this reunion could produce better images of those we spent a great part of our lives with and maybe help to heal some wounds that once ran deep---(ok, maybe I am too philosophical--am I?) Hope to see everyone soon...Tam

I am really saddend that my closest friend will not be attending...that is Rich in case you all didn't know, but I still look forward to seeing everyone. well, that was quick, hey? I thought ten years would be an eternity when we graduated, but here it is already. It was cool to go through the guestbook and read everyones comments- it looks like we've all survived the first decade and have done pretty we l for ourselves. It's funny though, I sometimes feel like a kid playing the role of adult. The stakes are higher and the stress is greater, but I try not to let the pains of life ruin the fun. In regards to the reunion- I would like to go, but at this oint I am non-committal. The real question about the reunion is whether or not Ryan can still get camp confusion for a night. What better place for a nightcap? -and Rodd, have you grown so old that you have lost touch with your youthful liberal senses? We all know that the left is the best.........and if Pernille, Masayo, Clayton, and Kioshi go, does that mean that Steve Malloy, Jay Herman, and David Taggert are going to be there? How about John Hollanegal? What the hell ever happened to that guy?

Since 8th grade I have had great success- I have a great job, a wife, a few girlfriends, a '79 plymouth duster, and I've been able to maintain my great looks and killer body. Even though I did not finish school with you all, I still plan on attending the reunion so that I can finally give margaret that ass-kicking that I owe her from 7th grade. See you there!

Greatest accomplishment since high school?: Well, I see that most everyone said that their greatest accomplishment was graduating college. Someday I hope to say that---For now, I would have to say that my biggest accomplishment would have to be th t I have finally come to believe in myself and my abilities. I think that for a long time I was unsure of the person I was and where I was going in life, but now I have a firm handle on both. So, definately my greatest accomplishment centers around my b lief in the person I CAN BE....
What do you miss about high school?: I miss the social activity that I always believed school to be...I never considered it one bit academic (and am sorry for that now...)--I also miss the lifestyle that highschool afforded me...no worries, no need for large amounts of cash, no problems other than what to wear the next day...yada, yada, yada...Oh, and I miss seeing Steph on a daily basis (ya, right!!!)---

Since moving away almost 7 years ago, I have come to realize the value of growing up in Lake Linden. What a marvelous place to have spent my youth. I was walking down the street with my mom on my last visit home and I said to her, "Listen..." She respon ed, "I don't hear anything.." "Exactly," I exclaimed, "I miss the peace and quiet of small town U.S.A." I guess at the moment I realized fully how much I had taken for granted. Lake Linden is a grand place and someday, I see myself returning. I think t just becomes a part of you that you cannot deny. There is just no other place on earth like home!!

Greatest accomplishment since high school?: I guess the answer to this question would be graduating from NMU after several years of study. I changed my major several times thoughout the years and finally decided on the computer industry. This bri gs me to where I am today!
What do you miss about high school?: I miss being near my friends. So many changes have taken place in all of our lives over the past 10 years. You miss out on a lot of good things when you are not near the people you care about.

I am excited to see everyone again. We're going to have a great time at the reunion!

Greatest accomplishment since high school?: That's a tough question. Since most of us who started college ended up graduating, I won't say graduating from college was my greatest. Since I never really applied myself in high school and usually end d up with average grades, I guess I would have to say getting on the deans list in college a number of times was probably my greatest achievement.
What do you miss about high school?: I definately miss the laid back life I had. I had very little responsibility in those days...unless you consider making it to work(Jim's Pizza) on time being responsible(Tammy, Carrie K., Stacy and myself had s me good times there. Tammy; remember when I burried your car that one winter?). It's funny how we all couldn't wait to "get out of there" when we were in school. We also said the same thing about college. But we all realize now how good those times re lly were.

Comments:
Hello, everyone. I am looking forward to seeing you all again. I was trying to think of who I haven't seen since graduation day and I can only think of two people: Matt and Jamie. By the way, where in the heck is Keoshi? I am happy to say that I will finally be starting my shack this summer. Scott G will be helping me with my foundation. Work is going well. I work for Seaton Appraisal in Hancock. We appraise real estate (homes, businesses, land etc). I have been at it for two years now. I travel to Chicago at least once a year for continuing education-it never seems to end, does it? By the way, is anyone looking for a 1987 Pontiac Firebird? I still have it and must get rid of it. Bury Tammy's car this winter and you'll receive $100 off the sti ker price!!! Well I suppose I'll get going. Dallas and Minnesota (football playoffs) are starting now and I must watch. I'll see you all this summer and don't forget to vote "Republican".

Greatest accomplishment since high school?: I have two accomplishments that I am very proud of- First is finding and marrying Paul, my husband. He's a wonderful man who treats me soooo good. Sometimes I feel I don't deserve him. And the second.. is my wonderful recovery from the horrible accident I was in back in May of '97. I had severe brain damage then!!! Now I was just tested again and I ranked superior in my education level and in one test I even ranked with an IQ of 138. A normal IQ is 1 00. I feel quite proud since I experienced severe damage to my brain and still tested well. Well enough about that!
What do you miss about high school?: I miss seeing and talking to everyone. It's funny how people take those things for granted. When they're gone, that's when you start missing them.

Well....I am a stay at home mom and I love it. After high school, I went to Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, MI. I graduated there in 1995 with a BS in Business Administration. I'm not excited about the degree. Once my children are in school I am plan ing on going back to school. For what...I am unsure of that right now but I have a few years to figure it out. And you probably noticed how I said "children"-well, we'd like to have 2 children, maybe three if we don't have a girl the next go around. Pr or to my child, Drew, I was working in food service and bank management. I love working with people. Well I can't wait for the reunion. I am helping to plan it with Nicky even though I am hundreds of miles away so....Please give us any ideas or thought you have on it. Well gotta go-I miss you guys and hopefully we'll see you soon...
