Food

A varied selection, best represented by one days ration:

Breakfast
Mountain House Scrambled eggs and bacon
Cup of sweet tea/coffee
Flapjack
SIS PSP drink/SIS Go drink

On the move
Bombay mix
2 x energy gels
3 x Energy bars (Powerbar/SIS bars/Maxim etc)
Dry roasted peanuts
Jelly babies
Enough electrolyte (Lucozade sport or SIS Go) to fill 1 water bottle at each CP

Dinner
Alpine Aire or Mountain House main meal i.e. Chicken, pasta and asparagus
Energy bar
Peanuts
Pepparami stick
SIS ReGo drink

I bought the dehydrated food from America (the Mountain House & Apline Aire stuff) which was better than anything I could find in the UK.  I ordered from rei.com (see links page).

Generally I found that I was consuming around 3500 calories a day.  If I did the MdS again, I wouldnt carry the Greenheat there was enough fuel in the desert to light a small fire at each bivvy site.
