Charmed Life for Lachey
Newlyweds star Nick Lachey joins the witches of San Francisco for the seventh season of Charmed.
Newlyweds' Nick Lachey has been Charmed by a trio of witches. The former 98 Degrees singer has signed on for a six-episode guest starring arc on The WB's Charmed, which will begin its seventh season in the fall. The Charmed outing is Lachey's first major acting commitment.
On the show, produced by Spelling Television, Lachey will star as a writer hired to anonymously pen Phoebe Halliwell's (Alyssa Milano) advice column while she is out on sabbatical. Soon, the two develop more than just a working relationship. Rose McGowan and Holly Marie Combs star as the show's other two wily witches.
After Lachey starred in the ABC variety show The Nick & Jessica Variety Hour with his wife Jessica Simpson, the Alphabet ordered a Christmas special from the duo. Lachey also filmed the comedy pilot Hot Mamma for the network as part of an overall development deal. His other television work includes guest episodes of American Dreams and I'm With Her.
