| Tire companies are much like car companies in that there aren't as many as you think. Most major tires manufactures manufacture almost all of the "off-brand" tires. Some of those off-brand tires are in fact less quality than their premium blend, but most are very close. Sometimes you pay for a warrenty, sometimes just the name. |
