The  THINGY!!!!

What is that "thing?"

What the thingy is, is a banner. Ok now, what is a "banner?"  A banner is what allows Yahoo!-Geocities to make money. Businesses spend their money to buy "space" on banners. This space is what they, the businesses, hope you will click on. If you click on it and go to their site, they may make some money. That is their hope.

What do I do with it...?

OK. Here goes... If I am going to spend more than 10 seconds on a page I do this:

1) Click the "down" arrow on the top of the 'banner'

2) Click the "up" arrow

3) MAGICALLY an "X" will appear. Click it

4) The banner should have dissapeared...

... like I said MAGIC!!!
