Stephen Ellis, son of Big Don, and brother of "lil Ellis", is know as "Big Ellis" or just plain "Ellis."

Driver of a TRUCK!!!! 

Not just a regular truck but a PRE-RUNNER.... but even better BEFORE they were COOL!!!!  (what a man!).

For those who don't know what a "Pre-Runner" is here is a short definition. A "Pre-Runner" is a 2 wheel drive version of a 4 wheel drive truck. They are used in desert racing. The day before the race, most drivers drive this "Pre-Runner" - slower than "race pace" - over the complete course to get a "feel" for it. There is no need for 4 wheel drive, and it doesn't need to go really fast, so it has purpose.

Back to Stephen's truck. It is a long wheel base, 1992 Chevy 2 wheel drive with a 5 speed and a 350. There are a few mod's to it, but it is pretty stock. He has it lifted about 4 inches and has 31's (BF Goodwricch all terrians) on it. He has no posi in the rear end, but is looking for may a detroit locker! (some touch stuff). He has 4.11's (maybe 4.10's...) in the back and gets much better gas mileage in-town than did his 3.07's. [if you don't get any of this talk, check out the truck page]. I think he has something else mod'ed out under the engine, but I am not sure at the present moment. I do know he has a nice sounding exhaust system. Who needs cat's? Not I...

More on the truck....
have you ever seen "Dukes of Hazzard?" I grew up on the show, or its re-runs. If you are unfamilar with it, lets start off with the car, the orange one. It happens to be a '69 Dodge Charger with a healthy engine (maybe 440) under the hood. (just do you know this is the car with the doors welded shut. Entry is through the windowless window openeing). Atop its roof is painted a Rebel Flag (good ol boys...). [in stephens truck, there is a rebel flag covering the headliner...]. When they make a jump they usually blow the horn. This is no regular horn, but a DIXIE horn. It play the first 8 notes or so from the legendary song. [Stephen also has a DIXIE horn...]. They happen to have a cousin who wore really short shorts, know later as Daisy Dukes... hmm the characters name - how original. Well I am looking forward to meeting Big Ellis' Daisy riding beside him....

He was in band and was able to attend - and PLAY IN - the New York Christmas parade, right in front of Santa!
