How are they used?

Copy
is used when you want to copy a section of words or symbols ( for instance, an internet address or phone number, or even a sentence ).

Paste is used when you want to "paste" or place that text in another area ( for instance an internet address bar or a word processing document - like Word ).

Cut is used when you want to move a series of text or symbols. You highlight the words or symbols you wish to move and click cut (see right column). This will erase the highlighted material from its original area and replace it where you wish by pasting it.
