How to "Attach" a file via email
The first step is having an email account. If you do not have one, you can easily set one up (click here).

The next course of action involves having something to send via email. If you have written a letter to someone and wish to send it via email, you need to save it on your computer. This is also easily accomplished by simply clicking "file"   then  "save as"  from your menu bar (bar on top of most pages).  You have to choose what you wish to call it, then save it.  (be sure to note where it is saved to).

Open your email account (sign in) and click "compose" (or write message, etc).

Somewhere on that page there should be a button or highlighted text that says "attach file."

Here it gets a little complicated. Some email systems require you to click "attach file," where it brings you to another page. If this is the case, proceed to the next step. Other email services will have a "browse command" If your's is this type, go on to the next step.

What you want to do is find your file. Click "browse." This will open a window (much like "my computer" or "windows explorer"). Here is where you search for your file. Try to find your file by searching through the program files. (in the "browse" tool bar that you just opened).

Once you find your file (which is the hardest part), click on it. This should put the file extension in the blank near the "browse" button.

Next, click "attach." Don't worry if this takes a few minutes. Even with a good connection, this may still take some time.

When the program is finished attaching your file to an email, you need to click "ok" if there is an "ok" button. Otherwise, look near the bottom of where you normally write your emails. Here you should find your file name somewhere. Some programs it is not easily visible, but it is usually there.

Finally, address your email like you would a normal email. When you "send" your email, it will also send the attachment.

I hope this helped. If you don't understand something, please
