How to... Buy a Car!
Things to know...

-
People are out to make money (?? really!!??)
well what that means is that they are going to try to make money on YOU. Be careful. If it sounds like a really awesome deal, it may have some serious side effects  that you aren't being told.

-
People lie
Yes it is true. People in this world do lie. And they do lie to make money. ("all in the name of the almighty dollar?" whatever happen to morals? Guess they left with the 50's [the 1950's that is]).

-Cars break
Yep, I know this one all too well. If the car looks in good shape, it may well be. But it may also break too. THings happen. Typically with higher mileage more goes wrong. Just be forewarned.

-Thing wear out.
Tires esp. Granted they may look fine, check the tread depth. Tires may not be a huge factor, but if you are spending a lot of money on your car already, you don't really want to have to add $500 to the price tag for new tires (its just not fun...).

-Get a mechanic to check out the car.

it will cost you more in the beginning but, if you find a problem, you can still not buy the car.

-How many owners?
the more owners typically says that, perhaps something is wrong with this vehicle. EIther high insurance, bad gas mileage, or it is just problematic.

-Check insurance prices before you buy.
you may be surprised, but many times different makes and models have lower/higher costs of insurance. It may not sound like a "big" thing, but it is an opperational cost, and may cost you a LOT more than the extra $500 for a car with cheaper insurance.

-
Check where the car is parked.
If there are fluid leaks on the ground where it seems this car is always parked, ask about them. If it is no big deal (from mechanics advise), then you may be able to lower the price due to "cronic problems" or something to that effect.

-
Do you like the car?
if you don't like the car, you may not want to buy it. You have to drive it everyday (or however often you drive it), so make sure it is at least something you "kind of" like.

Its ugly!
A new paint job cost about $500.  A good bit, but... if its ugly... other people probably think the same thing. That is great news. It means the seller person may have a hard time selling it, thus reducing the price ofr you. With the money you save, you can get a new paint job.

OH! if people don't lie... how come they are always trying to get out of those speeding tickets... if they were speeding shouldn't they be honest and pay up for they know they were doin gsomething wrong! hehe
