SYNOPSIS -  'Tumse Milke - Wrong Number' is a youthful entertainer in the mold of films like 'Khel Khel Mein' and 'Khiladi' that starts out as a harmless celebration of pranks, but soon develops into a suspense thriller where death prowls, unexpected and unstoppable.
The story begins with the introduction of the following four characters: Mahi (Richa Pallod); Aarti (Rinku Ghosh) who is an uninhabited & a happy go lucky girl; Karan (Rakesh Bapat), a studious boy who is in love with Mahi; Monty (Vrajesh Hirjee), the prankster in the group, who's also a part-time fashion photographer.

The above group of four friends keep making random phone calls to people. Mahi and Aarti entice them and they all have a good laugh at the reaction of the victimized call receiver. Till one day, they meet Raj (Parveen Dabbas), who turns the tables on them, earning their respect and slowly, Mahi's love too. Just then, an unknown assailant murders Mahi's father for unknown reasons.

All hell breaks loose as the killer goes on a rampage, trying to cover his tracks. One after another, as people around start dying, it seems that one by one, the entire group of friends will be wiped out. No one has yet discovered the identity of the killer. The film thunders to an exciting climax, which endangers Mahi's life too! A shock ending reveals the identity of the killer and motive behind the killings.

This edge of the seat suspense flick, full of razor sharp thrills is directed by debutante Jignesh V Vaishnav with music composed by Daboo Malik (who also appears in a cameo in the film) and lyrics penned by Praveen Bharadwaj and Sanjay Chhel

Finally Rakesh in a movie.  The cutie is back.  It's been a loooooong time.  Why?  I do not know.  He had the movie "Dil Ne Kaha."  The music released but the movie never hit the big screen.  This was more than a year ago.  So he only had his debut "Tum Bin" (which he was rarely in) and "Dil Vil Pyar Vyar" (which he was also rarely in).  But I was so happy to see him in a lead role.

I was confuse about "Wrong Number."  First of all, when I saw the trailer...the name "Wrong Number" gives out an impression of a suspense/horror flip but the trailer shows a romantic comedy.  Then the audio soundtrack has "Tumse Milke....Wrong Number."  I was like what???  Weird.  Now, it IS a romantic comedy.  Then the film finally released as "Wrong Number" and the synopsis IS a a suspense/murder mystery type of movie.  I weas more and more confused.  I just watched the film...mainly for Rakesh.

I never saw Richa's debut film "Kuch Tum Kaho Kuch Hum Kahein" with Fardeen Khan.  I didn't think she was pretty in the songs but she is cute.  I thought the other girl Rinku was much prettier.  She reminds me of Shamita Shetty and has a nice figure.

The movie is really dumb, dumb, dumb...no other words to describe it.  The storyline is confusing.  The first half is a romantic comedy.  The second half is a suspense/murder mystery.  The performances were not even great.  The only thing the movie has going for it is the songs.  They are beautiful and choreographed nicely.  This movie is a miss but if you are bored and just want to watch the movie for Rakesh then do it.  Otherwise, go watch a more low budget quality film like "Samay" instead.
