What??
Who's in this movie? That's what i said too when I first saw the preview on AVS
TV. The movie looked different and that's why I wanted to see it. All newcomers.
It's not your typical Hindi movie either. I've been waiting to watch this film
for a while but never had a chance to but I was catching up on my movies so I
thought I'll give Tere Liye a try.I have no idea who is who in the movie since there are no reviews for the movie. I have the DVD in front of me now and the following are the cast for the stars - Arjun Punj, Bhavna Pani, Ansh Takker, Shilpa Saklani, Hiten Paintal, and Sonali Khare.
I will give the synopsis out since most people haven't heard about this movie.
The
movie is about 5 friends who grew up together singing in a band since they were
kids in a studio - Aditya, Ritu, Raghu, D.T., and Tara. They sing in a studio
own by Aditya's dad. They want to be the best band out there.Aditya and Ritu are the lead singers of the band. Raghu composes the songs and plays keyboard. D.T. runs the band and play the bass. Tara is a tomboy type that plays the drums.
Ritu
starts to fall in love with Aditya because her mother wants her to marry him.
Raghu is in love with Ritu and writes songs mostly for her...and tells only Tara
about his feelings for Ritu. D.T. and Tara both like each other but are playing
hard to get and pretend that they both don't like each other. Aditya starts to
fall in love with a famous actress name Pia. She heard them playing music one
day and started dancing and Aditya was lost in love with her.
Pia's
mom disprove of her singing and dancing. She only wants Pia to become an actress
to fulfill the dreams that she never had. As Pia and Aditya grow to love one
another, she starts to join the band and become one of the lead singers with
Aditya. What will happen to the band? The band originally started out with 5
friends who grew up together...why and how did Pia get involve in the band? Ritu
loves Aditya so what will happen to her? There is a big twist to the movie that
will make each one of the band members tear away from the band.
The
movie is different and that's what I like about it. There are no singing and
dancing in the movie...okay there is but not your typical hero/heroine type. The
songs are mostly when the band is performing. There is a song with Aditya and
Pia but the song flowed with the movie. The best song is the title song. It is
so beautiful.
I
am very impress with the movie. The acting is great from everyone. The girl who
plays Pia is very cute. The guy who plays Raghu is a sweetheart. All these
newcomers were natural. If the movie was more highly publicize then maybe it
could have done better. I really enjoy the movie. It's about friendship -
reminded me a little of Dil Chahta Hai with a group of friends just hanging out
and having fun.Overall rating for the movie - 8 out of 10
