SYNOPSIS
- The story of the filmm revolves around Radha (Vasudevan) who
has an immense crush on a supermodel Vikram Varma (Soman), whom she meets
through her job as an assistant to a photographer. However, realizing that the
supermodel already has his own supermodel girlfriend, Radha is disheartened and
turns to her grandmother played by Tanuja. Of course the loving grandmother
offers her assistance. She gives Radha a set of rules of attraction, meant to
target the subconscious elements of human behavior, and which have been
perfected over centuries of love and romance. These are the rules employed by
Radha to try and win over this man of her dreams. Hidden to audiences is the
question: does she actually succeed? Do the "rules of attraction" work
to gain the love of the supermodel?
Who in the heck is in this movie?? I have no idea. All I heard from a friend is that the movie is really good. I saw the trailer several weeks ago. I thought to myself, "oh Milind..." I always knew Milind is a famous supermodel in India. However, I didn't think he was hot. Gosh, he ranked in the top 10 before my Arjun. Arjun barely made it and was listsed #10. I've seen lots of pictures of Milind but I never cared for him. I did decide to give "Rules" a chance because I heard it was really good. So watching "Rules" was like watching the other newcomer films I knew nothing about - "Ishq Vishq," "Tum Bin," and "Kaho Naa Pyar Hai" which I also did not know much about but ended up loving the films. The only difference is "Rules" is not a super hit like the other newcomer films.

I loved the film. It is so cute. What I love most about the movie is
how laid back it is. It's a film you can watch over and over. I love
Milind in the movie. I changed my mind completely about him. He is
just too adorable in the film. It's not the same feeling that I have for
Arjun and John that I do for Milind. Milind's facial expressions are just
like Arjun's. Maybe that's a reason why I like him too.
Newcomer Meera is really cute. I love her character. She is spontaneous and crazy just like most star-struck fans. To make the movie more realistic, Meera has a natural look and was like most teenagers so in love with their favorite star. She reminds me so much of Gauri from "Sur."
"Rules" is definitely worth a watch. Too bad it didn't do well. It's okay. A lot of flop films are good. Not all hit films are great either. "Rules" is on my list of to buys.
