Director: Vikram Bhatt
Starring: Ashmit Patel, Nauheed Cyrusi, Vidya Malavade
Released on: October 24, 2003

SYNOPSIS -  Tina (Nauheed Cyrusi after her sweet turn debut in the flop "Supari") is a brat whose charge is with her stepsister Nandini (Newcomer Vidya Mallavde). Nauheed falls hard for a stranger who secretly photographs her. The stranger turns out to be Ranbir Oberoi (Ashmit Patel forgetting to shave for the most part of this movie. Who does he think he is? Hrithik Roshan???) who talks of building a seven star hotel in Koti.

Nauheed already hates Vidya for interfering in her life, and they have fights due to Ashmit, whom Vidya has already started suspecting of having dark secrets. Vidya starts digging into Ashmit's past, and then starts a game of cat and mouse, and a number of silly confrontations between them. Ahmit's past unfolds in a manner which makes Vidya afraid of her sister's fate if she continues with him, and she starts taking steps to prevent it.

I didn't have any expectations for this film because it was low budget.  I didn't really want to see this movie at first but I heard it was worth a watch...so why not?  First of all, I saw the trailer and Ashmit is one hot looking guy.  Wow.  Honestly, I thought he was Arjun Rampal, my hunk.  Then I found out it is Amisha Patel's brother.  I know a lot of people don't like Amisha but I do.  Well, I don't like or hate her but I think she's just okay.  She does need to pick better roles even though her films "Kaho Ho Naa Pyar Hai" and "Gadar" were superhits.

I have no idea who the other two girls were and never heard of them.  The main reason I saw the movie cause I thought Ashmit was "hot." LOL.  I don't think Ashmit was a "bad" actor but he wasn't good either.  He's just average.  He could have done a better job at his facial expressions but he was good enough to look at.  Not only does he look good, he has a nice body.  However, I thought he could have better.  He had a pervertic look to him but I guess it's just his character.

I did not like Nauheed at all!  I thought she was annoying and looked like a little kid.  I haven't seen her debut film "Supari" yet.  (I seen it now but not before "Supari")  She just annoyed me in the movie.  Her facial expressions were boring and she just couldn't fit in the character.

Vidya was awesome.  For someone who doesn't have much acting experience if any??  She is great.  I really like her and she looked beautiful and her clothes were gorgeous.  Honestly I thought she would be opposite Ashmit but I am glad her role was more powerful and intense.  I hope she gets offers in the future.

The storyline is not original.  It looks like another "Aetbaar" even though it's not released yet since "Aetbaar" is a remake of the Hollywood film "Fear" with Mark Wahlberg, Reese Witherspoon, and Alyssa Milano but of course with twists.  "Darr" was already set to be like "Fear."  Well, in every film industry, film storylines are bound to be repeated but hopefully just better than the next.

I was not really impress with the movie.  Although it was interesting at some parts and the songs are good to listen to.  The movie can be a miss but if you want to watch the movie for Ashmit, you should.
