SYNOPSIS - Gunaah has sultry Bipasha playingg a good cop and model-turned-actor Dino Morea essaying the role of a criminal at large. The film, maiden directorial attempt by Amol Shetge, is based on the script by Mahesh Bhatt.

Tough cop Prabha (Bipasha) is haunted by the demons of her past. Being an illegitimate daughter of a prostitute, she has had a very bad childhood and there once occurred an incident in her life when she was driven to the point of committing a murder. But today, now that she is a cop, she believes that she can clear her conscience by reforming a criminal.

Prabha’s life is turned topsy-turvy with the entry of Aditya (Dino), who is a good person at heart but was forced to take the path of crime due to the wrongdoing of the system.

Prabha goes to Aditya’s house to nab him, but gets carried away when she sees him bathing. Aditya slips from under her vigilant eyes and a hasty chase follows. Prabha stays close on the heels of fleeing Aditya. At one point when she is about to fall off the rooftop Aditya stops running and extends his hand to save her. This act makes a great impact on Prabha.

Prabha decides to know Aditya’s past and find out what prompted him to commit crime in the first place. She decides to reform him but herself gets ‘reformed’ into loving him in the process. (Apna Ka Choice)

Okay, I heard so many bad things about Gunaah that I was afraid to watch it at first....but then later on, a lot of people who did watch the film said that the movie wasn't that bad. I also wanted to watch the movie for the Dino and Bipasha pairing. They are so cute together and were great in Raaz.

Bipasha is a good actress. No one can deny that. I just feel bad for her since Gunaah is another Bhatt film and her voice is dubbed again. I hate to see her not get a nomination just because it wasn't her voice in the movie. She is a good actress regardless if her voice is dubbed or not. Just because they decided to dub her voice, some people don't think she's worthy enough for an award or even a nomination. I am not saying that she acted the best this year. Of course Ash was better than her in Devdas but that is not the point. The point is when someone is good, give them credit. Also, I don't see anything wrong with her clothing in the movie. She is a cop and dressed like one. And for those who says she dresses skimpy in the movie...that was only in her dreams!! Hello....and that one scene where she wore a sari, there was a reason behind it. I don't see why they ridicule her clothing. Cops aren't suppose to wear their uniforms 24/7.

I thought Dino looked extra HOT in the movie. I didn't think much of his look in Raaz. I must like that roughed stubbled look on him. Then he played a more silent and dangerous type in the movie. In Raaz, I thought he was a bit girly...lol. He didn't have much acting to do since he was silent in most of the movie but when he did speak, I thought he did good. I would like to see him in a lead role so he can show off his acting skills.

Irfan Khan was wow! He makes you hate him. And when a villian does that....you know he does a good job acting. He is so cruel and evil that you want to see him die right there. I won't be surprise if he takes the Best Villian award next year.

Ashutosh Rana had a short role. The Bhatt's must really like him because he's in all their films...okay most...lol. But I was surprise that he didn't have a bigger role. I think he's a wonderful actor but just wanted to see more of him in the movie.

Storyline wasn't bad. Reminded me a little of Out of Sight with Jennifer Lopez and George Clooney...with Bollywood style that's all. Actually I did enjoy the movie and wonder why the movie was put down so bad. I think these days, some people criticize and analyze too much in the movie. Just sit back and enjoy a movie. NO, I repeat NO movie is flawless!
