SYNOPSIS - Foothpath is a story of three friends Arjun (Aftab Shivdasani), Raghu (Emraan Hashmi) and Shekhar ( Rahul Dev). All three have been born and brought up in the same society and locality of Mumbai. Their life is full of joy and happiness until Arjun faces a calamity in which he loses his father, who is a righteous man. His friends avenge Arjun's father's death after which Arjun is forced to leave Mumbai for the fear of police and take refuge in the streets of Delhi away from his friends and childhood love (Bipash Basu) Sanjana.

But faith has something else in store for him. Even after hiding for 12 years in recluse, police succeeds in tracing him and force him into a mission which is full of betrayal, hate and falsehood against his own childhood friends, a dirty game in which life and childhood love is at stake. Whether Arjun succeeds or fails in this game forms the curx of the film FOOTPATH.

I haven't heard much about "Footpath."  I only wanted to see it for Bips.  I thought Affy and her made an odd pair just by looking at the promos.  Affy has such a boyish baby face.  He looks the best with baby face actresses such as Amisha Patel, Preeti Jhangiani, and Amrita Arora.  However, he looks best with Amisha.  Bips' looks is very sexy so she looks best with mature, hot stars like Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal, and John Abraham.

Affy had a stubble in the movie so that made him older.  He didn't look that odd with Bips as I thought.  They just look okay together.  Bips looks older than him although they are the same age.  It's just Affy's baby face.

Affy acted really good in the movie.  So did Rahul Dev.  It's great to see Affy in a better role.  Rahul is good but I'm tired of him doing the same role, a negative one.  Affy's voice was dubbed in the movie.  It suited the movie right since it was dubbed with a more mature sounding voice.

However, the person who stole the limelight is newcomer Emraan H.  He is funny, serious, crazy, all that in one.  Not only can he act, he's a cutie too.  He reminds me so much of Vivek Oberoi.  They have that same look.  That tough, rugged, yet cool guy (Vivek's character in "Company")

Bips didn't even have to be in the movie.  She was mainly there for songs.  She does have a little significance in the movie, but it is nothing to make you say wow, look at her performance.  She does look sexy in the songs.  I know that a lot of critics will write her off just saying that she likes to show her body.  Hey, if you got it, you got it, might as well flaunt it.

Storyline wise.  It's nothing "new."  But it is an entertaining movie to watch.  I enjoyed it a lot.  More than I thought I would.
