SYNOPSIS -  It is a dark chilly night.  Six friends are crossing a jungle on their way back home, when their car breaks down.  The group is forced to take shelter in an abandoned ruin. To get through the night, they start telling each other stories.

What follows is six stories.  Six bizarre terrifying tales that begin to play on the minds of the youngsters as the night drags on.

Little do they realize that the most terrifying tale of all is about to take place.  One that they be a part of. One that they may be no escaping from ...........

Another horror flick?  Bollywood's not great in doing horror flicks but I give them props for trying.  Most people look at Bollywood's films as being lovey dovey and always romantic.  However, Bollywood has come a long way.  I enjoyed the Bollywood horror flicks like "Raaz," "Red Rose," and "Raat."  However "Kuch To Hai" wasn't a great horror flick.  It could have been better but it was too much focusing on the love angle.  "Bhoot" was a good attempt too but I think I was expecting too much out of the movie so didn't enjoy it as much.  Unlike the other horror flicks, "Bhoot" didn't have any songs.  There have been a series of horror flicks that have released but I haven't seen all of them yet.

So where does "Darna Mana Hai" falls?  Just like "Bhoot," the film didn't have any songs except the title song in the credits.  Well, it's definitely worth taking a look at.  The performances are all great!!  The main problem with the movie is that there's no real plot.  There are just a lot of mini stories in the whole movie.  Just horror story telling.  The movie has a huge star cast but everyone in all had no more than 20 minutes in the entire film.

To me, the person that shined the most in the film were Aftab and Vivek.  Both of their characters were amazing.  Aftab's character was good but I didn't like his story.  I didn't think it was funny, I found it more of a comedy.  Isha was in this story with him but she had very little to do in the part and was totally wasted.  I couldn't help but laugh.  Another story I thought was funny was Shilpa and Sanjay's story. My favorite story was the little girl who didn't do her homework.  It wasn't scary to me but more thrilling.  Same goes for Vivek and Nana's story.  I wasn't afraid of it because I've heard about stories like this already.  It takes a lot for me to be scared of a horror flick.

The attempt to do a different movie is good.  If the movie had a better plot then it would grab more attention.  What made the movie great was the performances.

Overall, "Darna Mana Hai" is definitely worth a watch.  My rating will be a little low only because I didn't think it was a horror flick.  Well, it sorta was but I was mainly laughing than becoming afraid from watching the film.
