SYNOPSIS -  Jai (Arjun Rampal) is a handsome young man with dynamic personality. He is a good son, a friend in need, and an ideal man for any woman.

Jai is obsessively in love with Tia (Aishwarya), a heavenly beauty who responds to his affection with a bland acceptance and indifference.

Instead of many an open advances by Jai, Tia remains stolid. She just cannot reciprocate Jai’s feelings with the equal warmth. Something seems to be holding her back. But what?

A sudden twist of fate changes Jai’s life drastically. The once lovesick Romeo now turns into a man of stone-heart. For the first time he sees that Tia has never really loved him. He feels as if he had been imposing himself upon her.

A devastated Jai begins to keep his distance from Tia.

Tia senses the change in Jai. For the first time she also feels a soft emotion for him in her heart. She realizes how rudely she had been rebuffing his advances.

Tia begins to show genuine interest in Jai. But now it is Jai who has troubles reciprocating her feelings.

What follows is a complex cobweb of human emotions, before the film’s director Naresh Malhotra draws the story to its logical and expected end.

Dil Ka Rishta's music ruled the charts for some time.  Everyone couldn't wait to see Arjun and Aishwarya in a film together.  The God of Ramp and Ex Miss World paired up would be great.  Not only are they good looking together but also really good friends.  No wonder Ash asked Arjun to be in this film - her first home production.  In addittion to Arjun being in the film, hot looking model turned actor Priyanshu was also in the film along with Isha Koppikar.Of course, I couldn't wait to watch the film because it starred my hunk - Arjun Rampal.  I read a lot of negative things about the film.  Of course, I don't let reviews make up my mind about a film.  The movie had everything promising for itself already.

After watching the film, I admit that it wasn't the best or the worst.  The storyline was weak and could have been better.  Most people would think that the movie belonged to Aishwarya but I have to disagree because it belonged to Arjun.  Arjun's character had to go through emotional changes in the movie.  Ash had more camera time dancing and singing but character wise, it is Arjun's film.

Priyanshu also does a great job acting.  He was excellent in Tum Bin and shows up only in a supporting role but left his mark.  At times, I have to admit that Priyanshu outshoned Arjun.  I can't wait to see the two paired up since they have two upcoming films together.  This duo is something to look out for - the two hot hunks!

Isha does hardly do anything in the movie.  She looks good in Dil Ka Rishta, but her role could have been played by any other actress.  She has talent so I would like to see her as the main heroine one day.  She always play dumb, little supporting roles or dance numbers.  She's good at what she does but I would like her to show off her talent.

Overall, the movie is worth watching only if you're a big Arjun, Ash, or even Priyanshu fan.  The storyline is nothing worth mentioning.  The songs are great to watch but you can always buy a song DVD because I am sure the songs will be on there.
