SYNOPSIS -  Priya and Raj, two sides of a coin, different as Chalk and Cheese. Raj, an impulsive, middle class, hard working, emotional fellow allows cupid to play havoc with his heart strings and in comes Priya, the prim and proper, sophisticated and practical girl. Both are smart enough to see their differences because it is rather visible to the naked eye. They throw caution to the winds and dare to fall in love. And then suddenly, the game changes and so does the rules. The initial rush in your veins when you see a loved one becomes trying. The joy of canceling an appointment to be with your lover remains, but it just becomes a bit impossible. Love sort of goes into the background…. The wounds made by cupid’s arrow beings to heal. The need to impress no longer exists. What does all this stand for? Cupid gone stupid or cupid gone tepid???

Shahrukh Khan's next production after "Phir Bhi Hindustani" and "Asoka."  Although both movies did not do well at the box office.  They both were appreciated by fans everywhere.  "Chalte Chalte" was delayed since the original heroine was suppose to be Aishwarya Rai but she got replaced by Rani Mukherjee.  Either way, both ladies have good chemistry with Shahrukh.

Shahrukh is one of the best actors in Bollywood.  What makes him stand out among the rest is that he's very versatile.  From villians in "Darr" and "Anjaam," to comedies in "Yes Boss" and "Chamatkar" and even the sweet romantic guy in "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" and "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai."  Now he is back with another romantic movie "Chalte Chalte."  NO matter what role is given to him, he perfects each character and makes you feel it.

Rani Mukherjee is an actress to look out for.  She has really grown on me since I used to not like her.  I really appreciate her acting.  She has really improved on her emotional scenes and picking better movies.  She looks lovely and is doing a great job on maintaining her weight.

The storyline to "Chalte Chalte" is nothing new if you saw "Saathiya."  It's mainly being compared because of the conflicts after marriage which a lot of Bollywood films don't portray.  To me, "Chalte Chalte" started off similar with "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" cause of the hero chasing the heroine to another country.  Then the second part reminded me of "Saathiya" ONLY cause of the while marriage problems occuring.

The songs were okay.  Nothing great.  The choregraphy was average.  The song that stood out the most is Tauba Tumhare Yeh Ishare.  In addition, the choregraphy was very similiar to Shahrukh/Kajol song Suraj Hua Maddham from "Kabhi Kushi Kabhie Gham."  Plus Rani's makeup was very natural and similiar to Kajol's in the song.

Overall, the movie is cute.  Nothing spectacular to watch out for.  Watch the movie for Shahrukh and Rani fans cause both did a great job acting.
