About me
Hey ya'll! My name is Jennifer and I'm 19 years old. I currently reside at home, attending Delaware State University in Dover, DE. I'm majoring (right now) in Early Care and Education. I'm involved in The Hornet (The college newspaper). I'm a life time Girl Scout with 11 years under my belt along with almost every older girl recognition possible (including the Silver and Gold awards). I absolutely love singing, writing, hanging loose, sleeping (one of my new found favourite passtimes), church, God!, French, scouts and a lot of other stuff as well. You could say I'm a bit well-rounded. As far as activities go this year, I'm involved with scouts as an older girl mentor and an assistant leader for my sister's Cadette troop, Praise team at church, youth leader for youth group, 7th and 8th grade Sunday School co-teacher and I am going to be competing for the title of Miss Milford in January.I also babysit to earn money. I also had the priviledge of working on a Chrysalis weekend!!!! Great stuff!

Awards
I have earned my Girl Scout Silver Award and Gold Award. I've earned my LIT (Leader in Training) while working with a Daisy Troop. I've gone to camp for 2 weeks 2 summers in a row to complete my Counselou-In-Training I & II (CIT) It was loads of fun! I have also earned my SGSTA (Senior Girl Scout Troop Assistant) with a Brownie Troop. I earned my Apprentice Trainer pin during the Train the Trainer weekend as the first senior scout in our council to earn it!!! I've also made Who's Who Among American High School Students for three years. I was a Soprano I for Delaware's All-State Choir as well. :) I've earned two second place awards during my senior year of high school for journalism from the Delaware Press Association High School Journalism Contest. One was in Feature Writeing and the other was in Single Page Layout.
My Family
I'm a real family girl. I love my family and my friends and church family, who I consider family. I'm very shy though, at least until you get to know me. I have a really big family which makes it hard to find a guy to date sometimes because of it (Of course now I don't have to look for a guy anymore! ;)) I'm really close to my immediate family and cousins. My oldest cousin Brandon is now a junior in college, the first one to go. Congrats! My younger cousins Charlie and Stacey are both freshmen in college! Yay! My mom and dad are just starting a family ministry in our church and I'm so proud of them! It's so exciting to finally see them becoming more involved in the church scene and growing in their faith! My grandparents also are involved in our church a lot. Very exciting!
